Bedroom back door opens to a patio and large deck above the garage perfect for outdoor entertaining.
*** Please note, this is a historic house built in 1890, and while the entire house has been renovated and efforts made to soundproof between the units, the fact is noise will still travel from the main floor of the unit above to the basement. Guests in both units are asked to be considerate of their neighbors.

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!
No expense was spared in remodeling and furnishing this house. You will be staying in an historic home complete with modern amenities. Location-wise, everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) is within 2 blocks and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Smithsonian museums) is just a few blocks further and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!
What a quaint little apartment! Within walking distance of Union Station, the Capital, Library of Congress and so many other sights! Kitchen was wonderful to cook in. Washer and dryer came in handy. Very clean. Perfect for our family of 4! Would definitely stay here again!
As a first timer, I was concerned that no one was to meet us but everything went as communicated. David responded quickly to my questions and three blocks from Union Station was so convenient! The street was lovely, quiet, and I felt extremely safe with late night walks. Met all of my expectations. Enjoy!
This was a very nice basement apartment. The location is very close to Union Station, but on quiet residential street. On the corner was a small neighborhood grocery with gourmet sandwiches and coffee- Union Grocery! I didn't give it 5 stars because upstairs residents walking around is easily heard and some may find it disruptive.
I highly recommend staying here! It is within walking distance of the Capitol, Supreme Court, and so close to Union Station. Condo was exactly as described. We would definitely stay here again on another visit!
This place is in a fantastic location and the owner was very responsive by email. The kitchen is well-equipped. There is a great vegan breakfast place a few blocks away. The apartment can be loud if renters in the above apartment are not considerate.
