Kyle and Heather Tuttle have been married 11 years and have 3 sweet little girls ages 8, 6 and 3. They bought Eagle Nest together with Kyle's parents to have a home to relax in and create family memories.
Heather Tuttle purchased this house in 2013
Eagle Nest is 40 minutes from where the owners live. It is the perfect distance for a quick weekend get-a-way. The views, fishing and pool make this spot hard to leave!
They fell in love with this house because of the water views from all rooms and the amazing fishing. They often catch mangrove snapper and trout off the dock and snook and redfish from their boat. It is also located at the end of a cul-de-sac so their kids can easily ride their bikes.
...to quote 6 YO Louis, great nephew, visiting Gulf of Mexico for first time from Rochester, UK. In the pool for hours every day, two kayak days & one sail day & learned to cast two days with this uncle. Bicycle on three days with his father. Pokemon GO (???) around the neighborhood with a younger uncle. Collapsed into bed every day very shortly after sunset...
Eight month old Emil said little, obviously enjoyed the pool also, and appeared to think a heeling, pounding upwind sailboat was maximum big giggle cool.
We picked a bad week to stay the weather was windy and chilly. We could not use the pool.
The bicycles needed repaired, we fixed two of the three the frame was bent on the black one.
the place is not good for three adult couples we had to sleep in the bunk room. The place down stairs should be made into a full bedroom and the laundry put in the garage. The dock is not good for putting water craft in because of the tides. I cut my leg up on the barnacles on the ladder. I recommend this place for two couples and kids.
Beautiful scenery, plenty of space, very clean and beautifully decorated. Not one complaint! We will definitely be back!
We had a terrific time. It was everything the description and pictures promised and then some. We caught fish, kayaked, swam, walked and rode bikes. One of my favorite vacation rentals.
We come for over 8 years at Christmas to Florida and normally we stay in Tampa. Last Christmas we came to Hernado Beach and we stayed at the house of the Tuttle family. We had 8 people and there is enough space. It is a fantastic property with a fabulous view. The family Tuttle has thought of everything, a nice living room and a very good kitchen. From the outside you can enjoy your breakfast while awakens nature. You can swim, biking, kayaking, fishing, etc.
On the water, you are surrounded by nature. You see manatees and can touch them, you can see dolphins and during the flood, there is plenty of fish. Nearby are plenty of great local restaurants and bars.
Highly recommended to anyone and we'll be back.

We absolutely loved this house and hated leaving. The house is decorated beautifully and the views are amazing from all windows. The house has everything you need. Kayaking, biking, and fishing was so fun. We caught lots of fish off the dock and enjoyed the town of Spring Hill. I would recommend 'The cove' and 'R beach' as great local restaurants and bulldog fishing charters - captain Keith was great!! Heather was so quick responding and very accommodating. We will definitely be back.
Buccaneer Bay/Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is 3 miles away. This famous attraction has live mermaid shows, boat tours and a fun water park. (Elvis Presley even visited there.) Bush Gardens Theme Park is located 60 miles away in Tampa. Great dining is 1 mile away...Brian's Place was featured on the David Letterman show and R Beach was visited my Emril Lagasse. If you just want to stay at the house and play, Eagle Nest vacationers will have access to 2 on site beach cruiser bikes, 2 kayaks, and 1 stand-up paddle board. There is a private pool with views of the gulf along with a large dock for great fishing and or docking your boat. (Guests need to provide their own fishing equipment.) All boating/fishing amenities are located within a half mile-including marina, boat ramp and bait shop.
