A lovely find
I had a lovely weekend away with my parents, sister and family. The lodge was the perfect size for us and is beautiful inside. We enjoyed the board games in the livingroom and the biscuits left by the host! We didn't have children with us but it would have been brilliant for a young family!
We had a wonderful time. The house was very spacious and very comfortable. Everything was lovely !
We had such a great time and the two minute drive to the most beautiful beach was fantastic. We walked with our family and dog everyday down the miles of clean sandy beach.
We had some great days out to Alnwick castle and Bamborough.
It’s a lovely place to visit and we would love to come back again soon.
The house is lovely. If you have small children there are stair gates and lovely touches like a dolls house on the landing and dress up in the play house in the garden.
Linen and towels were provided and a well stocked kitchen.
Great find for us. Thank you for a lovely family holiday.
From the booking and communications with Sharon, to the cleanliness and absolutely amazing property, our stay was just perfect.
The house is truly beautiful and is a great base to explore the delights of Northumberland.
Our family of 5, plus dog, really enjoyed our time in the house and area and we will definitely be looking to return in the future.
Thanks for everything.
Wonderful property, a little dissatisfied with location (distance to places of interest). Though property was cleanly prepared, it was let down with the very unhygienic wooden sink surround.
A lovely lodge for anyone wanting to explore the Northumberland coast
We stayed at druridge bay lodge over the new year break and had a lovely time. The lodge was very clean and well decorated throughout. The lodge was very spacious and perfect for what we were looking for. The kitchen dining area was great and a lot of time was spent playing games around the large table which seated us all perfectly. The living room was cosy and had two leather sofas tv and a small office area to the back which had a range of dvds and games available.
The 3 bedrooms were all large and spacious, the master bedroom with en-suite had a lovely balcony over looking the enclosed garden.
The garden was enclosed which was perfect for our two dogs and granddaughter to play, and the little pirate hut was an extra touch and lots of fun.
The lodge is in a great location with a small shopping area with co op in walking distance, druridge bay country park is a short drive away from the lodge and well worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly reccomed the lodge. Thank you so much for a lovely stay we will hopefully visit again soon.
Wonderful few days in a home from home
Thankyou so much Sharon for the use of your lovely home. From the minute we walked in our holiday began. The house was beautifully clean , warm & welcoming. Thank you too for the bottle of wine. We were a party of 6 consisting of teenagers & grandparents along with ourselves & the house suited everyone. Although we didn't make use of all the toys & games for children you could be assured if you were a family with little ones they wouldn't be bored. For Summer time you have the lovely enclosed garden which would be great for sitting in & eating outside. We were here for october half term so a little chilly to make use of ourselves but the kitchen is the heart of the house & we spent a lot of time around the kitchen table after long walks. The location is a great base for exploring the area & we loved Druridge bay & country park which we walked with our dog a 5 min drive in the car but a leisurely 20 min stroll from the house.
All in all I cannot praise the house enough & we shall definitely return. Thank you again. Lisa & family
Thank you Lisa for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay in Druridge Bay, do come back in the better weather to enjoy our garden! Paul & Sharon x
1 mile from Druridge Bay Beach-huge, clean and often deserted even in summer it is a perfect child's beach. Great for sandcastles, safe bathing and rock pools at low tide. You can walk for miles along its length with great views of Coquet Island and it's lighthouse. We are across the road from Druridge Bay Country Park which has a lake with many birds and lovely walks. Watersports are available and there is a cafe and 2 children's play areas.
We are 3 miles from Amble with it's harbour, market various shops and new indoor swimming pool with child's pool. We are a short drive to Warkworth with it's beautiful medieval castle, river walks and quirky shops. Half an hour brings you to Alnwick with it's award winning gardens and Harry Potter castle. Bamburgh, Seahouses, Craster and Holy Island are approx 30 miles north of us with good road links
Other Activities: bird watching
