Coveniently located cottage just off A2 in Kent. 5 mins drive to Bluewater Shopping Centre and 25 mins by train from London. Decent sized rooms, on a split level downstairs, with free Wi-Fi and a parking space. Reasonably well equipped which made self-catering simple. A short stroll to the local pub and post office/store.
Note that the road in front of the house can be busy during the rush hour due to proximity of A2/Bluewater.
We used this cottage as a base to visit central London, Greenwich (Maritime Musuem, Observatory), Herne Bay/Whitstable, Chatham Historic Dock Yard, Chislehurst Caves, Dover Castle and Chessington World of Adventures.
This was the best value property, after extensive research, at the nearest point to London. Should we return to London, I would have no hesitation in booking this cottage.
We were looking for a house to rent to spend xmas together as our family do not all live in the same area. We found this one on Home and Away. It was excellent exactly like the photos on the website and in a good location. Madeleine with whom we arranged the rental was very helpful and replied to emails promptley, Kim who looks after the rental was very local even though we had no reason to contact her. It was warm cosy and met our needs exactly. We would have no hesitation in recommending this house
I can't recommend this house highly enough. The local contact was very nice and helpful. Our first impression was that it was far nicer than the photos show! It is in a very convenient location for travelling into London or around the south east. The house was very clean and comfortable and well equipped - everything we could have wanted in the kitchen, plugs in all the right places, shower good and wifi fast etc.We are very likely to be back.
We had a great stay. The house was clean, warm and cosy and exactly what we needed. The local contact was very friendly and accommodated our late arrival from overseas no problem at all.
The road at the front of the house can be a bit noisy first thing in the morning to those in the front bedroom but this is one of very few minor negatives.
The kitchen was very well equipped with crockery and cooking equipment.
The initial contact person for the booking was very attentive and always responded to our questions straight away. The booking process was straight forward and, as already mentioned, the on site contact was very friendly.
I would certainly recommend this rental to others.
