The property had everything we could wish for whilst on holiday, absolute value for money. Sharon was very helpful and the welcome pack was much appreciated. The property was well equipped and very comfortable.
Had a lovely stay at the apartment, very grateful for the welcome pack on arrival after a long journey and it was very clean ,comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Brixham itself was lovely and had great fish and chips down at the harbour, also a great base which to travel and see other parts of beautiful Devon.
On arriving at the apartment i had a very nice welcome greeting from Sharon, the apartment was very clean and the welcome pack of fruit and wine was most welcome. it is situated only a 10 min walk from bus stops to main destinations, It is very central to a lot of local attractions whether you travel by car or bus and the steam train is a must if you want to visit Dartmouth. I would certainly recommend staying here, the only down side is the property could do with a little touching up in places and the garden needs trimming back to let more sun in when sitting outside, other than that i was very happy to stay here.
We spent a relaxing week at Grockle Nook, enjoying the sights and walks about Brixham and the exceptional hospitality of our hostess, Sharon. The apartment came "fully loaded" with plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, toiletries and a welcome basket filled with wine, cookies, fruit and other goodies that we enjoyed throughout the week. Located within walking distance to pubs, the downtown and waterfront areas, Grockle Nook was a very good choice for us. Keep in mind there are several steps in the apartment, but all in all, we completely enjoyed our stay at this remarkable rental apartment.
We had a lovely time staying in grocklenook. Sharon was the perfect host and really impressed with the welcome treats on arrival. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Had a great week and loved Brixham.
After a long journey from West Yorkshire we were given the warmest welcome by Sharon the owner of Grockle Nook. We immediately felt comfortable and the welcome pack Sharon provided on arrival was a lovely bonus. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you are likely to need it then Sharon has thought of it. It was the most well equipped holiday rental we have ever booked. You are just a 10 minute stroll from Brixham town center and all it has to offer. Great food can be found at the New Quay Inn in the town centre and you can get a good carvery on a Sunday at The Prince William near the Breakwater. A boat trip to Dartmouth was great with very funny commentary from the Captain. There is so much to do in the surrounding area that even after a 2 week stay we couldn't fit it all in. It was great to return to Grockle Nook after a days exploring.
Brixham is oozing with charm & character. Steeped in history that goes back several hundred years, it's not hard to absorb the atmosphere of the town. Life in Brixham centres around it's pretty harbour. Take a wander around the harbour side & watch the fishermen unload their daily catch. Situated in a suburb location for exploring the surrounding countryside. You are just 10 min walk to the harbour where you can enjoy a deep sea fishing trip or take a ferry cruise to either Torquay or Dartmouth along the breathtaking coastline. Spend the day shopping at the antique shops or art studios in Dartmouth, were The Royal Naval College is situated (you may just spot a member of the Royal family). Nearby Berry Head, Country Park boasts spectacular views across the bay, with ruins of a Napoleonic fort. Why not take a walk on Dartmoor, stop for a scone & clotted cream lunch at a country pub or spend the day on one of the many sandy beaches or splash away the day at the Water Park.
