Your Crystal River Home Away from Home.

We treat our guests very well! We want to give you an experience that will make you feel that this property is "your place" in Crystal River.

This large 3 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront home sleeps 10 people, and 14 can dine in the gourmet kitchen. The gorgeous, L shaped heated Saltwater pool overlooks the wide deep water canal. Dolphins and manatee come up to the dock and you can launch our kayaks, canoe or SUP paddle board (all included in the rental rate) right from the dock. You can also tie up and keep your boat at our dock during your stay. There is a boat launch just 3 minutes away. Both of our rental homes are equipped with Pack and Play's for out guests with infants.

The beautiful sunroom w/ a 42 in. flatscreen TV overlooks the pool, water and large floating dock. Two very nice SUN bicycles are also included in the rental rate along with fishing gear and other water floatables. A charcoal grill and a portable fish cleaning station is also included. Save $$ by not having to rent kayaks, canoes, bikes, etc.!

RENTAL RATE: $1,050/wk plus tax (7 days/6 nights) or $170/night w/ 3 night minimum plus $150 cleaning fee and 100% refundable $500 security deposit. *MONTHLY RATE: $3,950 plus tax, cleaning fee and 100% refundable security deposit. THIS IS A NO SMOKING PROPERTY.

There are large Sailfin Catfish, Sheepshead fish and Red Snapper to be caught right from the dock. You can also catch freshwater bass and trap blue crabs off the dock. Feel free to use our 3 sit on top fishing kayaks with rod holders, paddles and PFDs, our two Sun Bicycles to ride to the mall or state park preserve, our SUP paddle board, and our canoe to get you to 3 sister's springs.

The front and side yards are large and filled with palm trees. There is a large 2 car garage with a work bench and plenty of storage area. There is room in the driveway for two vehicles or a boat trailer or RV.

This dog-friendly waterfront home is located on a family-friendly street in the coveted north end of Crystal River near the mall, restaurants and the downtown area. It is 3 min. from Crystal River Watersports where you can launch your boat for $10, and buy bait and fishing equipment. When not rented, the home is used by our family for personal vacations.

The home is furnished with good quality (all new) furniture. A queen size sleeper sofa and loveseat, and a trundle bed that sleeps two overlooks the pool and water. There are newer Kenmore Elite stainless steel appliances, comfortable pillowtop bedding on all beds, linens, bathrobes, towels, dishes, a toaster oven, a convection oven, a griddle, grill, fish cleaning station and many more accessories too numerous to list.

The kitchen is stocked with good-quality cookware needed to prepare family meals. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and its own large bathroom. Both the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have queen beds. There is also another full bathroom with tub located between the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. We also have an inflatable Queen size Serta Sleeper matress available (when used, the home sleeps 12 people). The flooring in the living room and common areas is beautiful ceramic tile making clean-up easy and fast .

There are five new flat-screen TVs; a 60 in. in the livingroom, a 52 in. in the master bedroom, a 42” in the sunroom, and a 32” in the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms. Wi-Fi and basic cable TV are included along with DVD/CD players.

This family-friendly home is located on a deep canal with Gulf access. The canal is 14 ft. deep at high tide and 5 ft deep at low tide. VERY large boats access this canal easily. There is one bridge going out to the Gulf but it is 40 ft high so NO height restrictions. The house is less than 4 miles from the scalloping grounds (this house is also 4 miles closer to the Gulf than If you stay at a home on Kings Bay).

The Sunroom (w/TV) features seating to enjoy the pool, canal and wildlife. The pool lanai is screened with a special fine mesh to help keep even the smallest bugs out. The home is approximately 5-10 minutes drive from King’s Bay (& 3 sisters springs) and 35 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico by boat (its a no wake zone in the River). Two nice beaches including Fort Island Beach is nearby. A large public pool with a skate park is also nearby (behind the airport).

Beautiful and peaceful Crystal River has activities for the whole family and is the only place where it is legal to swim with the manatee, and offers one of the few remaining areas to scallop in Florida during the summer. With all of the spring fed rivers and miles of mangroves Crystal River has the best Scalloping grounds in the US. Some of the best scalloping action is usually in 4-6 ft of water around Gomez Rocks at Latitude 2829.8, Longitude 8243.7. Offshore, there is shallow and deep water fishing.

The nearby mall has a multiplex movie theater, restaurants and shopping in historic downtown Crystal River. The house is only a short walk or bicycle ride from the Crystal River State Park Reserve and the Mullet Hole fishing spot. There are nine beautiful state parks nearby or play golf at one of the many nearby golf courses. Your family will make wonderful vacation memories here.

*Please Note: The pool spa at this property is not a hot tub. The spa does not heat up above the temperature of the pool and the spa waterfall is not currently functional.

You can rent at a very affordable rate by the night, week or month.

About Chuck Wade

The Wade family lives in Marietta, GA. about 30 minutes north of Atlanta. We vacationed in Crystal River rental homes for years before finally buying a vacation home here. We wanted a home in the family-friendly north end of Crystal River and our house is perfectly situated for what we were looking for. We considered Panama City Beach as a vacation home location and vacationed there often while making the decision between CR and PCB. We decided we like the nature coast best because there are no high-rise condos here in one of the last remaining natural areas of Florida, but Crystal River still offers all the modern conveniences of shopping, restaurants, supermarkets, movie theaters, a mall, quaint shops in the historic district, and more. It has everything we were looking for in a family friendly neighborhood.

Chuck Wade purchased this house in 2015

Why Chuck Wade chose Crystal River

We chose Crystal River because it is so much more quiet and peaceful than other places we vacationed. We also enjoy watching the manatees and other wildlife from our sunroom and pool area. Our dream was to watch the manatee while enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. We also love the fishing and boating in the area, and being certified scuba divers our entire family likes diving and snorkeling the natural springs in and around the area.

What makes this house unique

After staying at dozens of different vacation rental homes we stopped and made a list of all the things we liked, and didn’t like. We picked this house with all of that in mind. We furnished the house with brand new furniture; all very good quality beds, mattresses, sheets and comforters. But the home is not cluttered like so many of the rental homes we stayed in. The kitchen is equipped with all the items you would find in your own kitchen, including quality knives, flatware, appliances, plates, wine glasses, napkins, towels, pots and pans, soap, detergent, and spices — everything you would need. There is a washer and dryer, iron, an ironing board, bathrobes and bathroom supplies if you forget something. We want your family to enjoy yourselves and come back for many years. You can reach us at (404) 374-8523 to book one of the best vacations your family will ever have.

Our Crystal River Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in a number of VRBO rentals and this was definitely one of the very best! We had a wonderfully delightful, long, weekend in Chuck & Staci's home! The description of this rental just barely touches the reality of how incredible it is. The home is warm, immaculate, beautifully furnished and has everything you would need for a fantastic vacation! The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen is a dream! If you happen to forget to bring something, more than likely, you will find that there is more than enough on hand to hold you over. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board; pool, patio, grill and fishing from the dock (if you don't have your own fishing gear, don't worry!). The absolutely gorgeous weather we had this weekend was a bonus! We hope to have the opportunity to spend time in this wonderful home in the future! Thank you so much for such a great time!

House right on the canal. Great fishing/kayaking, with several boats to choose from at the house. Pool was the perfect temperature. Lots of space. Lots to do close by. We had a terrific time with no problems!

Ideal Holiday Location and Lovely Villa

  • 4 of 5

The owner of the property Chuck was really quick to respond to queries and supplied loads of info including best places to eat, directions to property etc. When we arrived we found it to be clean and tidy and it had everything we needed. The bed in the master was the most comfortable we have slept in, we even made a note of it to try and source one back here! The bikes, kayaks etc were a bonus and we made full use of them. There were only the 2 of us and we didn't sit inside for the whole 2 weeks as the outside space was so lovely and we'd sit for hours watching the wildlife and at night we'd enjoy being out in the warmth (we are from the North of England after all!!!). Chuck stayed in touch throughout to make sure we were safe and happy (hurricane Matthew) and couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great time and were genuinely sorry to leave. We will be back for sure. Many thanks Chuck, it was a joy to visit

Great Family Scalloping Vacation at Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed four nights here in September for a scalloping getaway just after the hurricane came through this area.

The house was extremely well equipped, comfortable, and clean.

High end, in a great location, and just what we needed.

We came with my wife and I, two small kids, and my in-laws. They house was a perfect size for us.

The pool was great, although a bit cool even in September. Heating year around would be appreciated.

The grassy fenced in area is great for having dogs or kids. The floating dock was perfect for our boat.

We were very happy in the home, and can tell you that the area is very well policed. We were pulled over twice on the road leading to the house (luckily just received warnings).

We would be happy to return next year.

Owner's Response: Glad you liked the property! We would love to have you and your family back any time. You were great guests. -- We learned that the police had stepped up patrols after the hurricane because there was some looting of the damaged homes taking place. - Sorry that the pool was a little too cool. Usually in Sept. it is very warm. I think the hurricane may have cooled things down some. Next time you visit we will make sure the pool heater is turned on for you.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

House was great! Kids enjoyed the pool and the kayaks! Adults enjoyed the grill and outdoor tv. Very clean. Gas stove was great for cooking our fresh scallops we caught that day! It slept 8 very comfortable.

If I had to be critical and point something out (because I have no complaints at all) the dryer really struggled to dry clothes and towels.

House is great! I recommend it!

Perfect Family Trip away from the hustle and bustle!

  • 5 of 5

We planned this trip and there ended up being a hurricane that passed through the night we checked in. The owners were very understanding from the beginning as some of us where unsure as to whether or not we would make it. Boy are we glad we weathered the storm and made it to their properties! After the storm passed there was quite a bit of damage and the owner had their property managers out immediately to access and coordinate clean up. They were very accommodating through the whole ordeal and we felt very comfortable in a not so perfect weather outcome. The owners made the process so smooth in rather horrible weather conditions. Both of their properties are immaculate and spacious for our rather large party. The kids loved the pools. The adults loved the kitchens and cooking beautiful dinners every night. The weather eventually cleared up and we had an amazing time. We even got some scalloping in. Having the boat dock for our boat was ideal. It was a short and beautiful boat ride to three sisters, the bay, and all that the old Florida waters have to offer in that area. Even when the weather was not so great the house so nicely set up with TVs in every room and living area that we didn't mind being indoors. The house had anything and everything you could want on vacation: barebeque, kayaks, canoe, paddle boards, extra life vests, and more! We look forward to many more trips with Chuck and his wife's home as our first choice for room and board!
