Great little Cabin in the Woods!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great little adventure at this cabin in the woods! The cabin has everything you need for essentially "glamping" -- hang out on the back porch and you feel like you're in the tree-tops in the middle of the woods but with the comforts of a house just behind you.

As previous reviews said, the "road" to the house is gravel/hills so if it were rainy/slippery it may be a problem. We switched to low-gear and didn't have any issues.

The kids loved going down to the creek and having campfires. (the steps to the creek are steep for little kids; 7 yr old was fine, we had to hold hands for the 3 yr old)

We took the kids kayaking and they had a blast (would recommend Blue Ridge Mountain Kayaking -- seems farther away, but some other other places didn't cover young kids on insurance based on what section of the river they dropped in -- BRMK were great for a family! wear water shoes!) We also went to Morganton Point Rec Area to hang out at the lake -- Take water shoes!! very rocky, but the kids had fun. On our way out we stopped by Sea Creek Falls -- it was an easy hike in on the foot-path (we parked before driving over the stream) and it was fun to wade & climb the falls. Beautiful pics. Again, take water shoes. Overall this cabin was the perfect accommodations & location for us to have a peaceful weekend and try many adventures in the mountains with our kids all within 20-25 min drive. (if anyone gets a little motion sickness, the roads are very curvy/hilly -- take some dramamine for your trip in/out of the area)

Awesome Cabin in the Woods!!!

  • 4 of 5

This little gem is about 20+ miles from Blue Ridge, GA. We love being away from the hustle and bustle. The road to get to the cabin is small and at times bumpy and has some steep inclines since it is on a mountain. More adventurous!

The cabin was the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate!! It looked to have had some new renovations recently. They have no cable but it has a box that lets you watch Netflix and Hulu and it has a blue ray box. Who has time for much tv when you are in God's country. The kitchen is equipped with almost everything you'd need. I did wish for a dish cloth to wash dishes instead of the scrubbing brush they have (no dishwasher). The shower is new with beautiful tile work. Two bedrooms in the cabin. The master bed was so hard that my husband and I slept in the other beds from then on. The extremely hard bed was my only discomfort during our stay. There is a nice sized deck out the sliding doors and it has a table with an umbrella with 4 chairs. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill. If you want lounge chairs be sure to bring them. The deck is about 15 feet off the ground and you can look towards the little creek below. You can hear the creek running from the deck. So peaceful!! Beside the cabin is a path with stairs part of the way. I believe there are about 60 steps and then flat ground to the creek. Down at the creek is a nice picnic table under a sturdy top to keep rain off of you. It rained every day we were there for a little while. I guess that's why everything is so pretty and green here. There is also four adirondak chairs and a place for a campfire. Be sure and bring the bug spray!!

This is a cabin I'd recommend to anyone. We had a wonderful stay.

Things to do: Ride the train in Blue Ridge, eat a cronut at the Sweet Shoppe (get there early they sell out fast), eat at The Harvest, drive all the windy roads, hike to the Swinging Bridge, shop the small towns, see the waterfalls and hike the trails, visit Serenberry Winery, visit Mercier Orchards, and so much more!!

Cozy nice cabin. Had a great time!

  • 4 of 5

Very quite and serene cabin in the woods. The path to the creek needed cutting back some but overall it was all terrific. Would highly recommend this cabin. Ashley was great to work with through the process of reserving and paying for the cabin. She had wonderful recommendations for dining, etc.

Perfect little retreat

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved the little cabin. Super cute. Really clean. It is secluded enough for a great retreat but close enough to go shopping in Blue Ridge and Elijay. Define would stay again.

perfect little cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Cozy Creek, which is truly worthy of it's name. It is small, but well laid out and appointed with nice furniture and lush throws. The fireplace was listed as "non-operational" which made me guess that the owner did not want to risk the fire hazard. The bed is comfortable, and the shower in the tiny bathroom is updated. There were a few minor issues, such as burnt out lightbulb in master and blinds in master let in lots of morning light, but overall a great experience. Would definitely book again.
