As Owners who live here five months of the year we pride ourselves in providing all the amenities one could possibly want to make your visit enjoyable, including air conditioning throughout. We have often been told that staying in our condo is like being on a cruise ship, as you are surrounded by water and are able to view the Ocean from both the Lanai and out the Front door.

You will find that you are only steps away from two remarkable beaches where the best South Shore surfing, snorkeling, and sunbathing take place. There is no hassle of parking your car or walking a long distance to the beach. Just stroll down the stairs or take the elevator and you’ll have two beaches to enjoy - one rocky but great for snorkeling and one sandy. Our exceptional Fourth floor views cannot be equaled as you cast your eyes on the majestic mountains and beautiful Hoai Bay. Our top floor, peaceful, 20 foot Lanai offers privacy while watching the sea turtles, whales, and “Locals” throwing their fish nets. You will enjoy the magnificent sunrise and also appreciate the gentle tradewinds throughout the day. Kauai doesn’t get any better. The open floor plan with Hawaiian artwork and native Koa wood accents allow you to enjoy the view from the living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room features tropical décor in a large sitting area with a 43” Smart HDTV and a desk with high-speed wireless internet connection. Our updated, immaculate condo also features a king size bed and one bathroom with an oversized, tiled, glass enclosed shower with grab bar. Since we do live here five months of the year, our place is meticulously maintained, cared for, and appointed with luxuries to meet your every need. Not a detail has been overlooked. This is not our business, but a paradise we would like to share with you.

Within walking distance is Spouting Horn Park where you can see “blow hole” and bargain shop in the many local run booths. Just before Spouting Horn is the National Tropical Botanical Gardens Visitor Center. This incredibly beautiful garden consists of 252 rich, lush acres of varied plants, palms, and birds, and offers both guided and self-guided tours. Kukui’ula Village, located at the round-about that leads to Kuhio Shores, is within walking distance and is reminiscent of a quaint sugar cane town. Plantation style architecture in a lush tropical setting offers a relaxing time of shopping and dining. Kuhio Shores sits next to the famous Beach House restaurant. It offers spectacular sunsets right on the beach that will linger in your memory long after you return home. For cooking at “home”, be sure to check out the wonderful fish markets, green markets, and fruitstands where you can pick up the Island’s best tropical fish and homegrown fruits and veggies.

In Kauai, every day is a great day. Much of the rainfall is a nightly occurrence and the rain showers that do occur are almost always brief. It is truly beautiful, and a blessing if it rains, and often is followed by glorious rainbows.

Beautiful Condo with a Gorgeous Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kuhio Shores #404. The condo was very clean and well maintained. Basic amenities were provided to get us going which was well appreciated. The views from the 4th floor balcony were beautiful. We sat outside each evening enjoying the sights and cool breezes. The owner provided good and timely information to us prior to our arrival and everything was as advertised. I would highly recommend the owner, the unit and the island of Kauai. We hope to return soon. Thanks so much!

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at Kuhio Shores room #404. The location was easy to find and is a very convenient place to explore the south side of Kauai. Our favorite part was being able to watch the sunrise from the lanai and then walking outside the watch the sunset from the grass. The room was well equipped with cookware to prepare meals. The owners also left beach chairs, towels, coolers, and a boogie board for guest use.

Great condo! Wonderful location!

We had a great experience in this extra clean, well furnished, well maintained condo. The ocean view was amazing. Turtles swam in the waters below every day. Great snorkeling at Lawai Beach next door. Close to restaurants and shopping. Poipu Beach is just a couple miles down the road. Would definitely recommend to my friends!

Great Vacation Rental

404 was the perfect "Home Away From Home" vacation. The condo itself was maintained beautifully and all the amenities needed were present. The view was wonderful as every morning we got the Sun and while I ate breakfast on the Lanai I watched the turtles in the cove below. We were walking distance to the two coves on either side of the location for swimming and snorkling. The big plus was the unit was air conditioned. The team at Kuhio Shores was very responsive to any requests as were the owners. Parking was no problem and its location in proximity to all the sites of the island was perfect. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone vacationing on the "Garden Island". Our only regret ws having to leave but we left very relaxed and appreciative of the hospitality the unit afforded my Wife and I. Tim & Janice Hinson - Mill Creek, WA

Great fourth floor unit that was very private.

My husband and I began our vacation staying in this fourth floor unit for a week. The place was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. The unit does have air conditioning which was very helpful during our stay. The fourth floor balcony was very private and provided a great viewing spot for the sea turtles. I mention that this balcony was very private only because we moved to a first floor unit in the same building for our second week and there was a lot of foot traffic in front of that porch. Obviously the higher up you are foot traffic can't happen, but it is something to consider when staying here because of the walking path that goes in front of all first floor units. We did not know that when we booked our second weeks stay. Another advantage of this property was the beach equipment available to use. There were two coolers, one large and one small, two lawn chairs, four beach towels, and two sand mats. These were very useful with our trips to the beach or hiking for the day. A disadvantage if this unit for me was that the bedroom did not face the ocean like our second condo did. We could not hear the water while we slept which was something I had wanted. Being on the fourth floor the unit was warm and we could not sleep with the patio doors open during the night. That might not be the case in other months, but for June it was warm. Both my husband and myself would stay here again. We had an enjoyable stay.

The Southshore's best surfing is right outside our building, available also nearby is horseback riding, tennis, biking, hiking, camping, fishing, zip line, air tours, whale watching tours, and mountain tubing.
