Overlooking the coast and town of Duquesa, this penthouse apartment has fabulous coastal views. Set in gardens and has a large pool with showers and plenty of space for sunbathing or soaking up the lovely views. Situated in the Hacienda Guadalupe Urbanization this is a secure site and can be accessed either by foot or by way of the underground garage which leads straight to either lift or stairway

This lovely apartment is well equipped and is furnished to a very high standard and has the benefit of both air conditioning and heating (for the cooler months). A balcony plus a sun terrace (the size of the apartment) give both pool and sea views and capture the lovely warm breeze. Plenty of seating and sun beds available. South facing so it has sun all day.

Ideal for most people, from those that want to enjoy the lovely beaches of the Costa del sol, the golfers (plenty of courses nearby), water park lovers, beautiful marina's and historic towns for sight seeing.

This 2 bedroom apartment is a new development in Guadalupe hills and yet close to shops and restaurants of local towns. It is beautifully furnished and equipped to high standards and would be well placed for your holiday whatever you like to do.

We would recommend hiring a car to get the most out of the surrounding area (underground parking available).

Flights operate to Malaga regularly and less frequently to Gibraltar and both are accessible with good roads.

This property is in a lovely location boasting views to the sea and coast, and to the adjoining hills. The nearest beach is walkable and there are many lovely beaches within a short drive. It has the benefits of being in a quiet neighbourhood but bigger resorts of Sotogrande and Estepona are only a short drive away. This is a gated complex with underground parking.

What makes this apartment unique

It has steps up to a private roof terrace with a pergola and an outside eating area. You can see the sun go down over the mountains and catch beautiful sunsets as well as a fantastic night sky for star-gazing or daytime just count the ships heading through the straits of Gibraltar.

The apartment itself is well equipped, has air-conditioning, two bathing/shower rooms, steps and lift up to the apartment from the underground garage. A choice of two pool bathing areas.

Just wanted to say what a lovely time we had and how grateful we are for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful apartment. I can honestly say it was probably up there with one of the best holidays Ive had in terms of relaxation, peace and beautiful views.

Great apartment, great location, great holiday

The apartment is clean, well presented and fully equipped. The kitchen has all that you need and the lounge is comfortable and very attractively decorated. Bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) are clean and comfortable with good hanging and storage space. Bathrooms (2) are spacious and clean.

Gardens are well maintained and the pool is spotless - if a bit cool when we were there in March! Even then, maintenance staff were evident daily.

Secure underground parking and a lift straight up to the flat - ideal!

What sets this apartment apart though are the balcony and roof terrace with their fabulous views to Gibraltar, Marbella and North Africa.

The apartment is well located for trips to Ronda, Gibraltar and further afield, or you can find plenty to do locally with bars, restaurants and markets nearby.

A car is very useful, but as others have said, there is a bus stop at the entrance to the estate about 500m from the apartment, so it isn't essential.

All in all, a great place and we will definitely be back.

A comfortable apartment set in glorious views

The apartment block as a whole is kept spotlessly clean as are the gardens and pool area. The views are wonderful and the luxury of the roof terrace gives this apartment something special above the others. There is a bus route at the bottom of the road and a small shop and garage for basic provisions. You can walk to Manilva beach where there is beach restaurant for drinks and good meals. Du Quessa Harbour is so picturesque with plenty of bars and a good variety of restaurants. Car hire is a good price from Duquessa, or taxis aren't too bad. Plenty to see in the area whether its beaches you like or the Casares and the hilly landscape. Gibralatar 45 mins trip. It is an ideal spot to have a base and you can have absolute peace or travel to more cosmopolitan areas. Would definitely go to this area again.

The apartment is clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Two bathrooms is a godsend!! The owner Karen was especially helpful both whilst making the arrangements prior to booking and when we got there we needed her help and she answered her phone immediately and helped us to find everything we needed to settle in. There are plenty of DVDs to watch, and books and games if you are unlucky with the weather! Everything you need is in the apartment, plenty of hot water, air conditioning, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine etc. outside furniture for eating al fresco and sunbeds to relax. Everything clean and good quality. Shutters were great to keep the place cool, and dark if you want a lie in!! I would recommend this for location, quality of the apartment and helpfulness of the owner. Would like to go again in a different month to see a different landscape and flowers.

Great week away

We had a great week, the apartment was clean on our arrival and relatively easy to find. We used a coach and a taxi to get there from Malaga Airport. We did the holiday without a car, but as owner says, car hire is recommended. The beach is around 15 mins walk, and there is a shop just at the bottom of the hill. The pool was nice and quiet, and it was great to eat outside on the balcony or roof some nights. Duquesa was a great place to eat out of a night time, or just to stroll down to for lunch. Overall had a really great holiday, thank you.

Excellent Family Apartment

We flew into Gibraltar, which we would highly recommend. The terminal at the airport was new and the airport wasn't at all crowded. It was only a very short walk across the border where we hired our car.

The drive to the apartment was about 20mins and there were no toll roads. It was fairly easy to find and we were met by a lovely lady who showed us around and told us about the local area.

We choose this apartment because it was away from the Marina and was quiet and peaceful. The drive to the Marina and beach was only about five minutes - you wouldn't want to walk as it is up hill all the way back (probably not so bad when the sun isn't so hot!) There are many good restaurants and bars around the marina, which bustle with life in the evening.

The swimming pool and grounds were immaculately kept and very clean. On most of the days there was no more than two other families around the pool and on more than one occasion we had the pool to ourselves! Plenty of sunbeds and some shades around the pool.

The apartment was quiet as it is on the top floor, there are lifts which worked perfectlywell during our stay. The roof terrace was simply divine. We ate our breakfast up there every day, very peaceful and beautiful scenery.

The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. It had air conditioning that could be turned on and off, the temperature was set just right, there was no need to change it. The beds were comfortable and the blackout blinds were a bonus. The apartment is tastefully decorated and there were ample DVDs and books to borrow.

Overall a very good family holiday, just what we were looking for and I would certainly recommend it to anyone coming to this beautiful area of Spain, especially if you are like us and like a relaxing, peaceful holiday.

Perfect holiday rental

Clean, well presented and fully equipped. Owner has thought of all the little details that make for a super holiday. Kitchen has all that you need, lounge is comfortable and attractively decorated. Terrace and roof terrace are a bonus. Bedrooms - clean and comfortable with good hanging and storage space. Bathrooms (2) spacious and clean.

Grounds are well maintained and pool was spotless. Even in April maintenance staff were evident daily. Secure underground parking and a lift straight up to the flat - ideal!

Lots to do in the locality and further afield. Owner has compiled a comprehensive booklet of 'where to go' ideas which is really useful and we found we agreed with owner's opinions. We'll be back!

Gibraltar is only 20 min drive and from here you can whale watch, shop, visit the apes, explore the tunnels and caves. A cable car takes you to the top of the rock from where not only can you get to see the famous ape colonies but also see the fantastic views.

The apartment is accessible for Marbella and Puerto Banus both filled with beautiful boats and beautiful people. Not for everyone but well worth a visit for harbor restaurants, bars, designer shops and markets.

Tarifa (the Southern most point of Spain) in contrast to Marbella is a town with a Moorish influence (boats cross to Cuerta and Tangier regularly). Cobbled streets, Moorish architecture and famous for water sports such as windsurfing and para-gliding. A 'young' town as many travelers head down to this point.

Ronda a beautiful town up in the hills north of Marbella is a 'must do' on a clear day. A town situated over a gorge which provides wonderful views of the surrounding area.
