The space is located in a two story building with underground, gated parking. You enter through an alley south of Romaine Street to your own parking spot. It is on the second floor and there is no elevator in the building. There is tons of morning light in the apartment. All new appliances, a king bed and a queen. No smoking or parties.......Both bathrooms are full baths with skylights. Granite counters in kitchen....Nice people in the building.
You can use the laundry on facility 24 hours a day. We are happy to leave you alone or help with whatever we can! We have one spot but if two are needed, let us know. We cantry to work another out for you.
Interaction with Guests
We are available to help with anything we can.
We really are in the heart of Hollywood but it is a quiet street, although it is Hollywood so occasional hellicopters can be heard. You can walk to Hollywood Cemetary which on Saturday nights in the summer has bands and movies!! The freeway is close by to downtown or the beach or the valley. The location is in the middle of everything. 3 min drive to Hollywood Blvd, You can walk to Hollywood Cemetary. Larchmont blvd is 5 min drive with shops and restaurants... West Hollywood 5 min away...
You canwalk to the bus stop at the corner which can take you to the metro althtough most people drive here in LA.
Other Things to Note
We have baby/child stuff avail if needed. Portable crib/highchair.
Four of us... 2 adults 2 kids (10 & 13). Stayed 2 days, almost a third (the guy renting to us tried to help us out, just couldn't make it work).
Certainly isn't glamorous on the outside... although there was some cool graffiti across the street and around the neighborhood! No problem with anyone around, in or out of the building. The inside was very nice. Walked around with the kids during the day... felt fine doing so!
Easy in & Out (getting keys & parking remote). There was a slight issue with a few dirty dishes but that was all and we were told it was due to a new cleaning person. The Guy renting it (says I shouldn't use names here?) was responsive to my texts even though he was away in New York. Really good support... very much appreciated!
We decided to walk down to Larchmont for breakfast/coffee - Coffee+Food, and looking around (needed a new eyeglass case... $12 AND a free adjustment at Hans Custom Optik! Yay!). Walked back and checked out Paramount Pictures... they were friendly but we didn't have an appointment with the Big Boss and didn't want to pay $55 each to look around inside on tour. Wandered back through Hollywood Forever Cemetery to the apartment. Drove up to Griffith Observatory... FANTASTIC VIEWS... but the parking was really difficult unless you got lucky... we got lucky! Second day walked up to Hollywood Blvd via Hollywood Goodwill (had to see what the STARZ donated to the 2nd hand store.. wasn't too exciting) and Starbuck's. By the time we wound up at the far end of Hollywood Blvd West, starving, beaten down by the heat, we had a really good cheeseburger, 2 orders of fries, 2 Shirley Temples, and a RootBeer Float (that tasted strangely like COCA COLA)... not exactly $70 GOOD though... 25 Degrees... highly recommended by many, but EXPENSIVE! lol
I have a 4-door shortbed full-size pickup... the alloted under-building parking space barely accommodated the truck, especially with all the discard junk against the wall next to it. Still, it seemed secure enough (had all our camping gear in the back covered with just a tarp... stayed put the whole time). I'd stay again! Really nice inside... said that already didn't I? It's an apt. in L.A. so the surroundings didn't surprise me or disappoint (Lived, once, in Long Beach, E. 2nd St)... better than a cramped Hotel/Motel room for the same or higher price, thin walls, and no secure parking...
