Remember when you were a child, and your parents would take you to visit a particular relative and there were three things your Mother told you; Wear your Sunday best clothes, Don't touch anything, and Be on your best behavior?! This home will take you back to Elegance, Tradition, Peace and Happiness! But you can dress casual and touch things! The home was built four generations ago and remains in the family to this day. Is Located in a old town called Brownsville. Has some church's, and a post office. Decorated in lovely soft pastel shades, you will find the home great for a retreat, relaxation, honeymoon, get away, or just a simple vacation. As you enter the front living room, you will find seating for 7, updated tv(basic channels , it is digital so it comes and goes depends on signal, so its possible you won't get any channels on certain days), sterio and piano. The dining table seats 4 comfortably but the kitchen is in next room and seats 4 also. Stove, two ovens, microwave, toaster oven
, full size updated refrigerator, garbage disposer and all the main items you need to cook full meals. Coffee maker and all dinner plates/glassware etc needed. Full bath with shower downstairs. Master Bedroom with queen bed on main level. Going back to the front door you will find the stairs(carpeted and slightly steep)as you reach second level there are two twin size beds in one bedroom and a king in other with a toilet and sink nestled in. The home has never been smoked in or had pets and you will find this home very clean.
The large back yard has a wrought iron table and chairs and room for a game of Croquet(available upon request). Relax on the front porch like our family has for years and watch the locals go by. the Residents on either side of our home have been long time Brownsville residence and take pride in their homes. We have Bald Eagles in the area so bring your binoculars. Lots to go do in the area. Liberty's own Markers Wally World with go -kart racing, slick track, miniature golf, batting cages, something for all ages there! Open on weekend only and seasonal(weather permitting in summer)closed after Labor Day. There are many golf courses in the area, visit WhiteWater Memorial State Park, Quakertown or Mounds State Park which is Brookville Lake, lots of fishing( and boating, beach, hiking. Zip lines, horseback riding, canoeing, Tennis courts at the Libertys high school. Visit our local Historical Depot the Liberty folk saved and restored. We have the famous J's Dairy Inn a generation spot that loves the fried chicken or a famous J-boy. Our courthouse square comes alive during 4th of July, and other months with activities. Our area is known for many cyclist foot powered or motorized! Visit Famous Kents Harbor and eat at Ainsleys Café on the Brookville Lake! but be sure to stop in at Jay's Midlake Bait and food shop! GREAT smoked pulled pork to perfection, and yummy cold milkshakes! Indoor seating/deck/or out in the yard (seasonal business).
Now if you head West to Connersville-approx. 20minutes, famous for Thomas the Train Event each year, catch the train to Metamora the old canal town with lots of unique shops. Take in a movie in Connersville, has your Kroger, Wal-Mart, Bowling, a FREE Big Fair and basic shops. North of Brownsville you can wind your way thru the hills and end up in famous Centerville Home of ANTIQUES! go to a bigger town than Connersville is Richmond, has roller skating, movies, bowling alleys, drive thru the uptown(old downtown) , or visit Depot District. Liberty is closest for Food and Gas *Let us know your special occasion and we can go the EXTRA to making you feel welcome! Cell phone coverage can be limited. (It will be noted at house where you can stand to get out!!) Don't want to leave the house? Grill out with a good old fashion charcoal grill(its a new grill)
My Grandfather built the house and I was raised in it.
I was raised in this little town and I always enjoy coming home. Enjoy sitting on front porch and waving at the neighbors. House is pretty sound so you feel like you are away from the world! My Grandfather built the house.
Your home was very nice, it had all the convenients of our own home. The piano was an extra special treat, 1 of the ladies enjoyed that very much. It was very clean. Thanks for the treats you left us. The only thing was we couldn't get the cd player to work. Over all it was nice. It wasn't really set up for the handicap.
Great home, clean, all comforts of home!! Had family over and grilled and played games. Great stay!!!
We had a nice party there for a friend and perfect place for get a away place too for lake goers and place for guests to stay.
Metamora: Old canal village with unique shops and old Mill. Ride train from Connersville to Metamora.
visit Centerville, IN Antique town. All of these are within 30minutes driving.
