About Mr Keith Burton

Margaret and Keith moved to this beautiful area in 2007, from Doncaster. They have since added two new members to their home - Badger and Belle - border collies.

Mr Keith Burton purchased this cottage in 2007

Why Mr Keith Burton chose Rochechouart area

Having travelled through Spain and a large part of France, they fell in love with beautiful Limousin and knew that was where they wanted to call home. Having visited at various time of the year looking at properties, they were fortunate to recieve a phone call from friends in the area when La Vue was coming on to the market. A flight out that same week secured their dream!

What makes this cottage unique

The views from La Vue were the clincher. Although, on first viewing there was a wood adjoining the property which prompted the original name of La Vue du Bois. On the day of signing for the property Margaret and Keith arrived with keys in hand, to find the wood had been cleared - hence the new name of La Vue!

Guestbook comments from the owner

No need for a wincyette nightie in this gite - it is warm and cosy and the Xmas tree was the icing on the cake!

Thank you for a relaxing and happy stay at your lovely, well-equipped gite. We've had lots of laughs in front of the log fire and eaten well because we had the facilities to do so.

A lovely relaxing holiday

  • 5 of 5

The English owners were very kind and helpful and the welcome pack was lovely.

The gite was very well laid out with all we needed. The garden was ideal for our dog. There were lovely views of the countryside where we saw a hoopoe or two.

There were many villages nearby to visit and restaurants with cheap menus and tasty food.

Super welcoming and pet friendly stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week and it felt like we had been friends with the owners for ever! Lola (our labradoodle) was also wholeheartedly welcomed by Belle and Badger who all loved playing fetch the ball in the extensive garden. The gite itself was really comfortable with en-suite bathroom, lovely kitchen/diner and in the evenings the woodburner in the living room was all ready to put the match to for a cosy evening in by the fire. The surrounding countryside is spectacular with lots of walking and sightseeing. There are stunning views whever you go and sleepy little villages with local resaurants to discover. Although the weather wasn't particularly good for us, we were not put off and we found the gite utterly delightful. We will definitely be back and I wouldn't hesitate in reccommending this property to anyone wanting to visit this area of France.

Thank you Keith and Margaret for a lovely stay

Rural location wth great countryside views

  • 5 of 5

Lovely well equipped gite in the limousin countryside with large lounge and kitchen diner. The bedrooms both had en-suite facilities and were nicely furnished. Our hosts were on hand to provide information on the area and help with any questions we had. The property was very clean, stylishly renovated and all as described. We visited a number of good restaurants in the local towns and villages, a good base for house hunting in the area and for spending time relaxing in the peaceful tranquil countryside. The property was ideal for our stay and we would visit again or recommend to friends.
