No smoking in the cabin, but is allowed on the covered front poarch & the yard lawn chairs. Out side fire pit available. Located In The Piney Woods of East Texas, at Beautiful Lake O The Pines. Boat launch & peir is 7 blocks from the cabin. It is quite, secluded,& peaceful. A great place to relax, swim& fish or shop at the the wonderful town of Jefferson Tx . Antiques, museums, boat rides, train rides, romantic horse drawn carriages, drive golf carts all over town. Wonderful restaurants . Events year round. $75. Per night with a 2 day minimum, plus a $30. Cleaning fee.

There was nothing "not to like" about the property. The entire experience was just great. The owners even recognized us at the grocery store in town and said hi. The over all area is an odd mix of junk properties and very neat properties but at no time did I feel unsafe.

Burn Benefit

We needed a place to stay close to Jefferson for the Burn Benefit, and we found Mary's. This is a very nice place to stay for a weekend, it's quiet, close enough to the lake, and Jefferson. The sweets she left on the table for our arrival was delicious, she is a great baker and a wonderful hostess, and so is her husband. Great guy!

Enjoyed our stay

Owners are onsite and very nice. Some properties in the general area were rather trashy but this property was neat and our cabin was clean. The entire property is fenced and well lit and we felt safe and our boat was secure. It is only a short drive to boat ramps and parks. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future.

Great place to stay!

My daughter and I came to Texas to help my older sister move. We stayed at this lovely cabin during our trip. It was wonderful to be able to rest and relax after a long day of working. Our hosts were great! They answered any questions we had and made sure we had power during the series of storms that rolled through. Mary also left us a few treats - cookies and cake - which were delicious!!! We would highly recommend this cabin to others who are looking to stay in the area.
