From Charles and Jess: We have lived in Saint Augustine since May of 2006. We are information technology professionals and love the "Salt Life" and historic setting that our nation's oldest city offers. Jess is a south Louisiana native and Charles was born in Texas.
Saint Augustine is like no other city in the nation. Come for a visit and kick back.
Jess and Charles May purchased this house in 2014
Uniquely, it is in the 10 X 10 block perimeter in the heart of downtown Saint Augustine. Location, location, location and 3 mile drive to the state park and ocean.
Great Parking downtown, outdoor grill and large backyard.
Thanks to Kelly and and friends for staying with us. We get 75% weddings and it is fun to meet new guests. They enjoyed the house and property and left roses and a few after party leave behinds. Come back anytime! Jess and Charles!
This was a charming and fully equipped home with more than you usually find at rental homes. The soap and shampoo were provided as well as tin foil, cleaning supplies, beach towels, beach mats, and more. The owners, Jess and Charles, were very accommodating from the check-in time to unexpected minor repairs. They were always willing and responsive to our needs and requests. We had a wonderful time here. The location could not have been more perfect with stores and restaurants within walking distance.
We were in St. Augustine for a wedding, and this house served as the gathering space for our family and friends. It has a very comfortable feel to it that makes one feel that lots of love went into this home.
Thank you for giving us a home away from home. My husband, his parents, our 2 year old daughter, and I really enjoyed our stay.
From the moment we stepped foot on this property, it was obvious that the owners truly care about your experience rather than just providing you a service. Jess, the owner, was in constant contact to make sure we arrived fine and had everything we needed. We were in town for a wedding and this location could not have been more perfect, everything was within walking distance. Our group of 5 with the wedding party had more than enough space in the house to get ready. The only time we used our car was to go to the store to get food for the weekend and fruit to make smoothies in the Ninja blender that is provided =D. The A/C in the house worked perfectly and was incredibly nice to come back to as our group was not used to the humidity. To summarize, the value provided by Jess with her house was more than we could have ever hoped for and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I am in the St. Augustine area. If you are reading this, you should book it now because you are not going to find a better owner/house/location combo.
Great location. Walking distance to downtown. House is nice and spacious with ac, cable tv and internet. It is around a lot of trees, so quite a few bugs. Also quality of bed on the room next to the kitchen wasn't as good as the other beds. All in all was a great experience.
We were in town for a wedding in the historic district. There were 5 of us and the house was perfect, though we didn't spend a ton of time there. Two full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, though one bedroom didn't have a fan which resulted in some hot nights. That room didn't seem to regulate temperature very well; it would be cold when the AC kicked on and then get hot again really quickly. There's a great little outdoor area for relaxing. We fit two cars in the driveway, though it was snug (both small cars). We walked to and from the historic district without a problem, though I wouldn't wear uncomfortable shoes. It was less than 5 minutes to Flagler College and another 5 or so to the heart of downtown. In the opposite direction, there's a winery and a GREAT restaurant called the Ice Plant with amazing food and cocktails. All in all, we would stay there again
It is a very nice house. It has plenty of room. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are very adequate. The living room is great and seats a lot of people.
It is in a nice, very good section of town. We walked to downtown and the fort area several times from the house. This is very good because the parking in St. Augustine on the weekends is awful. My only suggestion is: Larger microwave in the kitchen and an icemaker in the refrigerator. We would definitely stay there again.
My family celebrated my wives birthday here for a long weekend. The location was absolutely perfect. Walking distance to all the splendor downtown St. Augustine has to offer. The home was perfect for accommodations for a family of 6 & magnificently decorated. Though we did not spend much time in the house itself,we would not hesitate for a moment staying here again.
