Guestbook comments from the owner

The weather has been glorious for most of the week which has meant we could sit out in your beautiful garden listening to all the birds and wildlife as it came and went. We loved the magnificent conservatory and comfy beds and made good use of the log burner on the colder evenings. It is an idyllic setting, very peaceful with only the natural woodland sounds and we were amazed at how clear and bright the moon and stars were without any light pollution. Excellent facilities, lots of wildlife and wonderful Spring sunshine. Many thanks for a great holiday.

Rest and Relaxation

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't ask for more in this comfortable, well-equipped cottage. Despite the mixed weather we found plenty to do not only in the surrounding area but also in the property itself. The pool and the hot tub were well used and the selection of games in the cottage proved popular with all of us - as did the selection of videos and DVDs. The owners were always on hand if required but were completely unobtrusive otherwise. The garden centre, a short walk up the path from the cottage, was full of rustic charm and unusual plants for sale at reasonable prices. The cakes were great too!

A great, relaxing holiday - definitely worth a return visit.

The property went beyond our expectations. We stayed for a week and it wasn't long enough.

This was our first holiday in the UK for 12 years. The cottage had everything you needed from cooking utensils to towels. The property was really cleanand well maintained.

We are a family with an 8 and 4 year old and they had so much fun, especially in the hot tub and the play area. The property kept them amused to with a selection of games, toys and also the piano (and my daughter thought she'd have a week off from her piano practice!!).

The rooms were lovely and the master bedroom bed was so comfortable (I really miss it) and the room was so light.

The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots, pans and of course the range cooker.

Outside was beautiful, from the gardens to the walk up the lane to the nursery where the chicken are and 'Scarlets Garden' (excellent cream tea).

The owners etc. were really helpful with any problem you had.

The hot tub was a luxury and and night was enhanced with the fairy light and of course a spot of bubbly.

There is a lot to do and see in the area and the cottage is well placed for visiting both the North and South Coast (would recommend the south though).

It was unfortunate that the village pub isn't really a 'proper' pub, more of an eatery but we didn't mind as we enjoyed eating as a family in the cottage. It was just a shame that we weren't able to use the BBQ due the the Enhlish weather.

I would recommend is property as we loved every minute of it and will definitely going back In the future.

Excellent facilities, perfect setting.

  • 5 of 5

Spent the week here with grandchildren and it proved to be the perfect place. It is very clean, comfortable and well equiped. The conservatory is a great place to relax and very peaceful. You can easily spend a day on site as there are great toys and play equipment provided. The tea shop and fish pond, table football and games chalet and the hot tub all added to the enjoyment of our stay. Food at the local pub, 5 minutes walk away, was excellent. The seaside and steam train station at Watchet are a short drive away and a great place for adults and kids. The countryside is beautiful and there are many lovely walks. If you want peace and quiet, lovely scenery and entertainment for young children this is the place.

Great weekend break

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage.

Loved the conservatory and comfy beds and made good use of the log burner on the colder evenings. Langford Budville is very quiet but if you like walking and enjoying the views you will like Woodlands to come back to after your walk and make use of the hot tub which is heaven.

I'm sure we will be back soon.
