NEWLY REFURBISHED April 2014
AVAILABLE FOR HOLIDAYS ONLY FROM MARCH-OCTOBER.
Situated on a beautiful and peaceful holiday site, with private and direct access to the beach, this 2-bedroom chalet has all you need for a relaxing holiday, in what is classed as the sunniest part of England!
Dogs are welcome in the property and on site (on a lead), and they can even run freely on the beach all year round.
There is a good range of activities on the site, if you want them, including a good-sized outdoor heated swimming pool (May-September), with a section for small children. None of the activities affect the peacefulness of the chalet and site.
The chalet has a sun-deck along the front of it to enjoy alfresco dining, or just to relax and take in the tranquility.
It is in one of the best positions on the site, with an area of grass directly in front of it, allowing games/activities, or simply an area to admire from the lounge or from the seating on the sun-deck.
From the patio doors, you enter into the open-plan lounge/diner where you find a comfortable 3-4 seater settee, an occasional chair, dining table and chairs, TV with Freeview & DVD, bookcase with books provided, a welsh dresser, a few games for young and old, radiator, and various lamps for different lighting moods. The kitchen is open-plan from the dining area and has plenty of cupboard space, cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, plates, dishes, glasses, tea-pot, plus many other useful items. Tea-towels are not provided. There is a radiator in the kitchen too.
Off the kitchen is the twin bedroom, both beds have a headboard, and there is a bedside table with drawers between the beds. There is a wardrobe.
The kitchen leads to the master bedroom and the bathroom.
The master bedroom has a double bed with headboard, a dressing table with drawers, a double and a single wardrobe with further drawers, and cupboards above the bed. There is also a radiator in this room. The bathroom is of a good size, and has a WC, sink, bath, and an independent electric shower over the bath, with a curtain. An over-the-bath airer is provided here. Also, there is an anti-slip mat.
Other items provided are: vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, and children’s items like buckets and spades.
The water is heated by a hot water tank which is operated by a meter which takes £1 coins. This also operates all the electrics. Average spend around a pound a day (more in colder months). A small car park is within a few feet away.
Also on site: Children's playground, Crazy golf, Skittles, Tennis courts, Limited entertainment in pub lounge. Meals in pub.
The dining room is nice and comfortable, the beds are okay too. The overall impression is that it was clean when we arrived, but when you open the cupbords, all the pans, frying pans and tins were dirty and greasy. Toaster broken, coffee machine full of dust. A little more attention should be paid to this kind of details before the arrival of the guests !
We have stayed at Sussex Beach over a number of years but first time we have used this Person/chalet. Found owner very helpful and very oblidging and Chalet was clean tidy and just perfect. We have dogs and would recommend walks on the nearby beach (when tides out is sandy) and perfect for a dog run with hardly a soul around. The Witterings nearby is good for familes with children and Arundel is lovely for a day out for a piece of history.
This is definately a nice cozy place.
Just spent a week there with my family of 4, and i must say it was a very plesent experience.
The owner was very polite and friendly during our e-mail exchange, and the provided directions were easy to follow.
The place was nice and tidy, and it fitted very well with the description given on this website.
The holiday village that the place is located in is beautiful, and the small garden areas there are well maintained.
The village itself is a bit remote, and there is about a 15minute drive to get to the closest "bigger" town, but we never really found this to be a problem.
I would definately recomend this place since the price is very fair, and the location is beautiful and within walking distance of a nice beach.
Please note: You will definately need a car to truly enjoy the area.
Earnley: 0 miles: Earnley Gardens, which houses an interesting collection of tropical butterflies, exotic birds and small animals; a crazy golf course; and, crazier still, Rejectamenta, a nostalgia-fest museum.
West Wittering: 3 miles: Sandy beach with watersports.
Chichester: 6 miles: Cosmopolitan, colourful and cosy!
Bosham: 8 miles: This village stands on a small peninsula between two tidal creeks at the eastern end of Chichester harbour. As well as providing an excellent sanctuary for migrating wildfowl it is a wonderful centre for sailing with literally hundreds of moorings for boats and yachts. Artists, walkers and weekenders love the place and year round it draws visitors like a magnet, particularly those with a sense of history.
Pagham: 10 miles: Nature reserve. This lovely spot is as rich in period atmosphere as physical beauty.
Minimum stay 1 week. Holiday use only. Changeover days are Saturday, arrival time after 3pm, vacate time 10.30am. NB It may be possible for different changeover days, and number of days, in low season.
Charge per dog £10 each dog per week, maximum 2 dogs. Must be well-behaved.
'I would like too say thank you for this nice holidays. The chalet was wonderfull and very clean.' A.Gratzl
