Description

Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday home in Dalmally - Hazel Cottage

4 bedroomed house with outdoor deck and Finnish BBQ hut

Hazel Cottage is a delightful 4 bedroom cottage situated just 250m from the shores of Loch Awe (The Jewel of Argyll). Only 15 minutes' drive from both Inveraray and Dalmally, it is ideally placed for enjoying everything that the area has to offer. The cottage has been recently renovated and is bright and well appointed, with one double bedroom downstairs and one king plus two twin bedrooms upstairs. The property has two bathrooms - one upstairs, with bath and shower over. Newly fitted downstairs bathroom with walk-in corner shower and freestanding roll top bath. Large lounge with Calor Gas stove and stunning loch views. Spacious dining kitchen, again with loch views. Outdoor decked area with Finnish BBQ hut. Ample Parking. Maximum of two well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. Free wi-fi for guests..

Hazel Cottage is well equipped to provide you with a fabulous holiday in one of the most stunning areas in Scotland. Despite being easily accessible – just an hour and a half’s drive from Glasgow and only 20 minutes from the picture postcard whitewashed town of Inveraray - it affords a sense of remoteness, peace and tranquility amidst the most glorious of surroundings.

Recently renovated, it is bright and airy, with a spacious lounge (Calor Gas stove), modern kitchen-dining room, two bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and upstairs sitting area. New downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower and freestanding roll-top bath. The sun room and outdoor deck offer stunning views of Loch Awe, the mountain range and the Cruachan Dam whilst the Finnish BBQ hut provides a fun and funky space for outdoor eating and socialising. High powered midge machine running throughout the season.

There is ample off road parking whilst a two minute stroll will take you straight to the shores of Loch Awe, where boat hire is readily available.

About John and Lynn Coulson

We are a recently retired couple who live in Angus with our chocolate labrador. We have two married children and one grand child.

Why John and Lynn Coulson chose Scotland

We fell in love with this property immediately because of the area and the spectacular setting of Hazel Cottage. We also thought it would give us an interest in retirement and make a fantastic cosy 'bolt hole' for ourselves and the family as well as a property to rent.

What makes this house unique

Beautiful views of the loch, very peaceful, tranquil setting whilst having a very friendly pub a short walk away and a restaurant a very short drive away. The proximity of the boat yard is a bonus as it the many activities possible from this wonderful location.

Lovely clean fully equipped house, fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

Exactly what we were looking for. Fully equipped clean house, in peace and quiet with excellent views. Tesco delivered, so with 2 fridges we could stock up for the week. Broadband kept the kids happy in the evenings. Used the BBQ hut on 4 evenings, even when it was raining outside. Dalmally golf course was fantastic - quiet, very reasonably priced, could hire clubs and trolleys, friendly people. Hired a boat from the yard (very nice owners) down the drive and spent 2 hours on Loch Awe. Travelled to Oban (45 mins) and Fort William (1 hr plus). The fantastic drive through Glencoe to get to Fort William is a must. Kids climbed Ben Nevis and played in the snow at the top. Would certainly recommend Hazel Cottage to anyone looking to get away from it all. Excellent communication from owners throughout booking process.

Perfect peace and relaxing location

  • 5 of 5

A lovely little cottage tucked away in a quiet and peaceful location with views over Loch Awe in the Scottish Highlands. The cottage had everything you needed, including a great little hut complete with a barbecue.

If you want a location to get away from it all, this is for you.

Lovely, Spacious Cottage with Great Views

  • 5 of 5

The Cottage met all our expectations: it was light and airy with plenty of space inside and out and wonderful views to the loch and mountains. The sofas in the lounge were new and very comfortable. The conservatory was also well equipped and comfortable to sit in. The outside decked area was sunny and had plenty of seating. The kitchen was very well equipped. We found the owners very helpful and very happy to deal with any questions or queries. Everything was clean and of good quality. The area had plenty to occupy us especially as we like walking in the mountains. We would certainly return to this cottage.
