This tastefully furnished, spacious, ground floor apartment is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the highly desirable Sao Rafael village and is set in several acres of mature tropical gardens with a large communal pool and separate children’s pool. The complex is a short walk from the wonderful Algarve coastline with easy beach access, and 5 minutes drive from Albufeira and about 20 minutes walk from the marina.

Just 35 minutes from Faro Airport, Sao Rafael is ideally placed to explore the beautiful beaches and many places of interest in the area.

Offering 2 generously proportioned,air-conditioned bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and the second with twin beds and space for a third, both have large built in wardrobes.

The lounge-dinning room has 2 comfortable sofas,coffee and lamp tables, LCD TV, fireplace, dinning table table and chairs,sliding doors to covered terrace with patio table and chairs.

Modern,well equpped kitchen, with generous fridge/freezer,halogen hob,combi microwave and washing machine etc.

All lined provided except pool/beach towels.

The property is very well maintained, newly decorated and stylishly furnished with the added benifit of free Wi-Fi and TV via broadband providing Uk programms and a vast choice of sport and film channels.

Parking is available adjacent to the apartment and it is just a few seconds walk from the communal pool.Having both hot and cool air con the property is suitable for long term stays in the cooler winter months and very attractive long term rates are offered for out of season bookings, from € 750 per month.

About Steve Willsher

I re-located to the Algarve full time in October 2000.Having lived in west Cornwall for 16 years I was ready for a change and some sunshine! I run a boarding kennels and cattery near Faro and have very little free time but still enjoy meeting new people and ,of course their animals.

Why Steve Willsher chose Albufeira

When I decided to buy another property I spent a long time looking at all areas around the Algarve.Areas west of Portimao I thought were too far from the airport,over an hours drive.So somewhere within a 45 min drive was essential.Albufeira is the most well known tourist area in the Algarve,but I did´nt want to been right in the middle of the town, close proximity to the beach was also important-if you have to drive there you also have to try and find a parking space! not always easy in August.

I found Sao Rafael by accident,a client of mine had a friend who wanted to sell his apartment so I went to look and bought it on the spot!

What makes this apartment unique

The condominium has the appearance of a small village, cobbled paths meander through the beautiful tropcal gardens,all the aparments are low-rise,none more than 3 floors there is plenty of green open space.It is a very tranquil and peaceful place to stay,when I do get the chance to get away and stay there for 2 or 3 days I feel like I have had a real break even though I live here. The apartment is very well proportioned all the rooms are spacious , it has the benifit of a seperate kitchen and a big covered terrace.The communal pool is huge and has lovely sun terraces and lawns around it and of course it´s just 5 mins walk from the superb Sao Rafael beach with it´s wonderfull rock formations.In all I think this condominium is one of the best in the Algarve.......I´ve yet to see one I prefer!

Fabulous apartment

Great apartment just a 5 min walk to the beach. A number of restaurants in walking distance but would recommend a car for supermarket and day trips. Apartment very well equipped, it had everything you could need, even children's beach toys and beach tent. The bedrooms were a good size with plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. The fold up bed for my little girl was great. Steve was great from start to finish, would definitely stay again.

There is nothing at all that I could faul.t about Steve's house. It really is a home away from home.

We enjoyed Sao Rafael area and Steve's place is in a great location very near to albufeira. All facilities were available at Steves. The beach nearby is beautiful. The restaurant there is that little bit more upmarket than the norm. Sunbeds are 16euro for two plus the shade. The Atlantico hotel across the way is beautiful... worth taking a walk around in there 😁? Steve had a basket of water toys eg. Bucket and spade, a blown up floating seat, rackets and ball, snorkles... so it was nice to avail of these for our daughter. Beware though, we were not allowed to use the floating seat and the ball in the pool... the management are fairly strict about it unfortunately.

Thanks Steve for the use of your fab house. We loved having breakfast on the veranda and i was thankful of the air con needed at times during the night!

Convenient but quiet

Steves place was excellent with everything we needed. Close to the beach yet sufficently close the the city and close to the highway exits for our day trips. Steve was an excellent host as we had a slight problem with the sink the fist day and he quickly arrived to fix it. Overall a great experience

The perfect sun trap

We spent 30 nights Dec/Jan at Steves apartment , it was a little sun trap, beautiful sunny lounge and veranda where it was possible to soak up the winters sun with protection from the winters breezes. The kitchen was modern, well stocked with crockery, utensils everything we needed for our stay, lovely comfy sofas in the lounge and all the UK TV channels via the Internet linked to the TV. My husband enjoyed the vast amount of reading books that were there for our use.

The apartment is located about a ten minute walk from the beautiful beach Sao Rapheal, there is ample parking outside the apartment but you do need a car to get to the shops.

We recommend Steves apartment , it's like home from home, clean, bright and cozy.

Brilliant! Great apartment!

We had a wonderful holiday with our two sons 10 and 15 years.The apartment was lovely, clean, and very comfortable.

The transfers were quick and easy with yellowfish taxis.

The area was perfect with plenty of bars and restaurants to visit, the lovely beach only a easy 5mins walk away, and the pool was always clean and well looked after. Plenty of places to visit, we went to Zoomarine which I thoroughly recommend. Shopping at the Mall, and a trip to Albrufeira old town. We used a taxi to get to these places, which you can get from the reception. Totally recommend this area and appartment. Thankyou very much Steve.
