Cozy cabin on acre lot in beautiful Christopher Creek among the pines. Just 20 minutes east of Payson and near lakes, fishing, hiking, horseback riding etc. Landmark Restaurant, Creekside Restaurant, and small market within half a mile. Great little getaway to just relax among the beautiful surroundings and wildlife yet close to many sight seeing points to explore as well as events of Payson. Cabin has kitchen with table that seats 6 and items necessary to prepare meals - just bring your favorite food to make. Living room has fireplace, Direct TV and board games. Full size bathroom with tub/shower also downstairs. Large upstairs loft holds 4 separate full size beds and also has Direct TV. Outside, just off the back deck, is a large fire pit with tree stump seating and wood bench seating. There is also a charcoal and gas grill to enjoy outdoor cooking.
We are Arizona natives and the cabin has been in the family for many years. We have tried to preserve the rustic, nostalgic, cozy cabin feeling, while still enjoying modern conveniences. We enjoy spending quality time with our immediate family as well as large family gatherings. We definitely enjoy the great outdoors and all that Arizona has to offer!
Desired location on secluded lot in Christopher Creek. Surrounded by tall pines and beautiful sight seeing.
Have always loved the Christopher Creek area every since I was a kid. Looking forward to renewing our passion to the extent that my wife and I are planning to purchase our second home in the area soon.
We loved every minute of our stay in this Cabin. We live in the East Valley and wanted to get in some creek fly fishing, outdoor walking, and overall woods in our lives! So Labor Day weekend, we packed up and went to this catch of a cabin. It's cozy and just perfect. They allow dogs as well, and our dog was so happy here. They provide a laundry line with a zipline-type moving dog leash, so your dog can roam forever in the woods, but still be close by. The bedrooms are all in a loft together; but since the only people that went were me and my husband (the Caveman), we had our choice out of four beds! This cabin is close to everything including the store, 2 restaurants, and beautiful rim-view hiking, you are only minutes from seclusion, or country mingling with the locals. As for the cabin itself, the cute old charm mixed with nice upgrades really make us want to purchase our own cabin home. We would stay here time and time again. Thank you - the Rysavy's
Great location, close to trails, Christopher Creek amenities, etc., but feeling of total seclusion while on property.
Property was ready for us. Owners were quick to respond and great hosts. It was clean and had everything we needed. The cabin doesn't have any really close neighbors, so we felt removed. The cabin is aging and doesn't appear to have updates in sometime. That wasn't a problem for us, but it's worth knowing before you book it.
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Enjoyed a relaxing weekend away with our two toddlers. The Campos were very informative and helpful during our whole stay. Of all the rentals we have rented through this site, they were the most accommodating. Very quick to respond to all my questions. The cabin itself was very relaxing. Only seeing neighbors in the distance, it was nice to just sit on the back porch and have our girls run around the property. We had S'mores in the awesome fire pit every night. Kitchen was well equipped and I was able to cook everything I needed to. Wifi and DirectTV was a bonus. Close to Tonto Creek area and gorgeous lakes. Great fishing all around. The only bad part I would have to say is that the cabin does not have A/C. The weekend we chose to go up had higher than normal temperatures. In the afternoon, the heat would get really bad in the upstairs loft (where all the beds are). After a day there, they informed us of a portable A/C unit.. But sadly it wasn't strong enough to cool down the loft area in 90+ degree temps. My girls didn't get naps the whole time we were there. Other than that, we had a great time and didn't want to leave.
Just had a great time at this cabin. Location was great, fire pit was great, owners were great, and the price was great. I recommend this cabin for a any family for a group friends, basically anyone that is ok with open sleeping quarters.
Enjoy wildlife, pine trees, creeks, and lakes among the forest. Plenty of hiking, horseback riding, fishing and sight seeing. In town you can also go antiquing and enjoy the small town festivities.
