Beach View is a modern contemporary holiday property which has undergone a complete refurbishment and occupies a superb elevated front line position on the site of the old Gwel Marten Hotel on Headland Road in Carbis Bay and just a short walk to one of the best beaches in England. The apartment boasts a fantastic private sea terrace which very few properties have and overlooks the immaculate gardens of Gwel Marten, providing glorious uninterrupted sea and beach views. There is also free Wifi internet access.

There is a large private covered parking space which is just a few seconds walk away and just a little further is the delightful Carbis Bay train station. It is just a short train ride into the centre of St Ives along the single track and the journey takes just a few minutes and follows a wonderfully scenic path along the coast. The train very popular with visitors and a great way of beating all the busy holiday traffic in St Ives.

Beach View is also located right on the doorstep of the South West Coastal Path so it is an ideal base to start your walk and is also just a few minutes walk down the hill to the golden soft sands of Carbis Bay with its calm turquoise water.

Internally the apartment is very spacious (1200 sq ft) and in the main is fully open plan with a white gloss modern kitchen with breakfast bar, formal dining area with a large table and six chairs and a luxurious lounge area with two very large three seater sofas where guests can relax and enjoy breathtaking sea views. The modern family bathroom is again very spacious and has a separate shower enclosure, twin sinks and a deep luxurious bath with additional shower. There are two large bedrooms to the rear with the master bedroom having a king size bed and the second bedroom has two single beds with an additional single bed designed with flexibility in mind. Both bedrooms have TVs.

There is also has a very useful rear terrace with seating and which is ideal for a morning coffee and a read of the papers when more shelter is required and its also provides guests with a great outdoor storage area for bikes and surfboards.

In terms of local facilities, the nearest supermarket is a Tesco which is less than 5 minutes drive away off the main A3074 road into St Ives and where there is a great Costa Coffee which also has free wifi. There are also banks, hairdressers, a chemist, newsagents and general stores all a short walk away in the centre of Carbis Bay. During the day when on the beach there is a cafe and food outlet.

The apartment is available all year round and a great escape location during the off-peak winter season when walking the South West Coastal path is particularly popular activity. During this time the apartment is available for shorter breaks including weekend and mid-week stays. The St Ives music & arts festival during September is popular as is the New Year festivities.

Lovely Appartment with beautiful views

The pictures don't do this lovely Appartment justice (and the pictures are beautiful!). Well kept to a very high standard, the owners and cleaners clearly care deeply about the upkeep of this appartment. A great size with simply breathtaking views from the private balcony area.

The pre-booking information was spot on and enabled us to arrive, park and enter the property very easily. The Appartment is perfectly placed so you can choose to either walk down to the local beach (10min stroll) or take a car 15 minutes to one of the other local beaches.

We will definitely be returning next year.

Beautiful location.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment at the beginning of June. Ideally situated, a stones throw from Carbis bay beach and a short walk to catch the train into the lovely St Ives.

You couldn't beat coming back in an evening and sitting watching out to sea. We were extremely lucky to see dolphins in the bay! My 4 year old was in his element!!

Amazing views from this modern apartment

The view is simply to die for - we never closed the curtains, day or night! Lovely, clean and modern apartment (it doesn't look much from the outside)in a quiet but convenient location. We hope to return!

Quite simply the best location in Carbis Bay

When you arrive at Beach View you soon realize that this apartment looks even better than the photos. Truly breathtaking views form the lounge of Carbis Bay beach with St Ives in the distance and panoramic views of the ocean.

The apartment itself is stunning and immaculate throughout. Fabulous kitchen and a gorgeous bathroom. Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. You get your own covered car parking space which is directly opposite the apartments.

The apartment is huge ( 40 foot long hallway !! ) and catered for our needs perfectly. Beautiful sunset evenings spent sipping wine on the patio watching the enchanting lights of St Ives.

Carbis Bay station is only a 2 minute walk and trains run every half an hour into St Ives or if you prefer you can take the beautiful coastal path and be in St Ives in approx 45 minutes.

I cannot recommend this property highly enough and would recoomend it to both couples and families. Bryan and Paul the owners are just the nicest people you could wish to meet and handle bookings and queries extremely efficiently.

My wife and i have decided that this is the only place that we wish to stay when visiting Cornwall and will be booking again soon for next year.

Book it and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed having discovered one of the true gems of Cornwall.

This apartment is even better than it looks in the photos.

Extremely clean and very well maintained, fabulous kitchen and bathroom and very comfortable beds. The view from the lounge is truly breathtaking, taking in the beautiful beach at Carbis Bay and St Ives in the distance with panoramic views of the ocean. You get your own personal parking space ( covered ) which is directly opposite the apartments. My and i have already decided that this is the only place where we now wish to stay when visiting this part of Cornwall so will be booking again soon for next year. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Bryan and Paul ( the owners ) are extremely efficient and just the nicest of people you could wish to met.

Beach View catered for our needs perfectly, book it if you can and you will not be disappointed having discovered one of the true gems of Cornwall.

Clean, freshly painted, spacious and wonderful view

This is a great property. Very clean and spacious. The view is gorgeous and the location as great for getting into St Ives. We stayed there with three kids and two adults and the flat was perfect for this. We had a wonderful time here.

Carbis Bay is less than 2 miles from St Ives. You can walk along the picturesque coastal path into St Ives in 20 minutes in one direction or the villages, beaches, dunes and golf course of Lelant in the other. If you are looking for the magnificent scenery of St Ives but want a slightly quieter life then Carbis Bay is an ideal base. The direct access to the St Ives branch railway line means that a car is not required. Historic St Ives is renowned for its cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and cafes, art galleries, beaches and scenery and whether you are simply looking for a week on one of the many beaches, or an energetic mix of surfing, golf, walking or diving, there is something here for you. Further afield, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Newquay (indoor water world) and St Austell (Eden Project) are all within very easy reach either by car or train.

The apartment is situated on the ground floor and is accessed by walking down a small flight of steps. There is a large bench on the front terrace along with an additional table and 4 chairs. There is a further table and 2 chairs on the rear terrace. The Kitchen comes equipped with kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine, fresh orange juice maker, full dinner set, wine glasses, mugs, tea towels, first aid kit, Iron and Iron board, full assortment of pans, cutlery and general cooking utensils. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe and chest of draws with colour TV. The second bedroom has twin beds again with bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of draws and colour TV. There is an additional single fold away bed also stored so providing flexible arrangements to sleep a fifth person. Linking the rear bedrooms to the front aspect is a spectacular galleried hallway which is 40 feet in length.
