The contemporary red house is located on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River in Hermann, the most beautiful small town in Missouri. Just five blocks from the Historic District, Spirit Hill is a quiet retreat that's less than a 5-minute drive to anywhere in town - wineries, museums, restaurants, shops, wedding venues, marina, bike trail, Amtrak.
The Patio Suite includes a queen-sized bed, kitchenette with breakfast bar, private bath with oversized whirlpool tub and separate tiled shower, plus a large living area with gas fireplace, plus dining table and chairs inside and out.
Coffee and tea supplies are provided, but breakfast and all meals are up to you. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, microwave, small refrigerator, toaster oven and even an electric skillet. There's a gas grill just outside the door.
Hosts are on-site in the lower level Innkeepers Suite to answer any needs you may have. We enjoy meeting you on arrival, but after that, the suite is your own unless you need something. We're glad to suggest grocery locations, restaurants, wineries and activities if you like.
In operation for more than 12 years, we enjoy sharing Spirit Hill's comfortable spaces and beautiful views with our guests, some of whom have been joining us for many repeat visits.
The Patio Suite has a comfortable queen bed with reading lights and a privacy curtain. Lounge area has two overstuffed chairs and a queen-sized sofa bed. The gas fireplace with remote lets you keep the temperature just where you like it. There's also a desk, plus table and chairs.

We have enjoyed sharing our beautiful Spirit Hill Guest House and Gardens for more than 12 years. Just a few years ago, we did an extensive remodeling project to make the space as gracious and comfortable as possible for our guests. Gary enhances the breathtaking views with his loving care of the gardens.

We discovered Spirit Hill serendipitously during a stay at a Hermann B&B. The view was amazing, and there was a For Sale sign in the yard of the house. We had no plans to purchase property, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity, and have been thrilled with our choice every since.
The charming town of Hermann offers activities for everyone, from more than a half dozen wineries in the area to historical museums, shops and restaurants. The beauty of the Missouri River is unmatched. Other activities include the Katy Trail bike trail just across the bridge, plus a golf course and a zip line.
This is my first time ever writing a review that's how highly I think of this place. We came into town for my first trip into Herman and this B and B was far beyond what I even expected. It's very centrally located and is a two minute drive or a longer walk for those types who would want to go to the historic area and enjoy the wineries. We could literally see the B and B from across the valley at stone hill. Our room was clean and nice. The owners are very kind and generous and willing to do or answer just about anything. The fireplace and view off the balcony and that area was second to none. You literally could see the whole valley and that alone made this stay well worth the trip. Will I be back. You couldn't keep me away. I would of booked my next stay on the spot if they weren't already booked.
The local trolley service provides hop on/hop off day passes from Amtrak to Spirit Hill and to the area wineries and restaurants. Bicycle rentals are available for riding the Katy Trail. Two historical museums are located in Hermann. Many weekends include special events such as the Wine Trail.
