Very nice, clean apartment with the best of views
The apartment is at the perfect location in Milna, with beautiful views. Everything you need is in walking distance, though everywhere esle on the island is perfectly drivable as well. We had a wonderful holiday, had the best food we've had in a while and have visited nice little bays with chrystal clear water. Everything we needed was in the apartment, everything worked very well (the airconditioning was delightful). The only thing that was a bit annoying were the people being up very early, and you could hear practically everything. Furthermore, the pool was great, although many people felt the need to get to the pool at 8 (it opens at 8), put down their towel on one of the beds and therefore claiming it, then walk away until coming back at 3 for a swim. I guess this happens anywhere, but still it felt very anti-social and most of the beds were 'taken' when we wanted to swim. That being said, we had a perfect stay in a lovely and very clean apartment and it's definitely worth coming back for!
We had a great time
We are a family from Oslo, Norway, with two boys aged 6 months and 6 years who rented this flat for two weeks in June 2010. We had some friends with children the same age as ours coming over the second week renting the flat next door, perfect for the children having fun at the pool area and on the beach, and perfect for the adults having nice evenings on the balcony after the children were asleep.
The apartment was very nice and clean, with all necessities for self catering. Air conditioning worked well. It's very close to the beach, where there are concrete platforms for sunbathing, and pebbly, little bays. The water is extremely clear, and snorkling is fun, even though there are not a lot af colours under water. A beach restaurant close by (at Illyrian Resorts) offered nice meals and a shaded terrace.
Milna center was a 20 min walk along the harbourside from the apartment. Yachts and sailboats, a dozen restaurants, a couple of bakeries and two minimarkets offering the most neccesary of groceries etc. Nice back street walks in Milna.
We rented a car for the whole period which is nice if you want to get around a little on Brac island. We made daytrips to Zlatny rat in Bol, a fabulous, pebbly beach, to Vidova Gora with amazing views of the island and the sea, and with yummie home cured ham and local sheep's cheese in the restaurant on the top of the "mountain". There was also a small "zoo" with domestic animals on the road towards Supetar, which the children liked a lot. Also picturesque villages etc. We also made a day trip to Split and spent the day in the Diocletian's Palace. Recommended!
Pool area was cleaned every morning, and we had it nearly to ourselves. Service from the property owner and cleaning staff was very nice and flexible.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay, and would recommend this place heartly to others.
Milna Vacation August 2010.
I have spent my vacation in the Sunny View 1 apartment (Milna) at the end of august 2010. I can definitely state, that it was one of my best vacations ever. The apartment was convenient enough for 4 young adults not to annoy each other and rest in comfort.
Milna has appeared to be one of the nices towns on Brach, although there aren't many beaches with an easy access to the sea. But it is not a problem, in case you rent a car. We've done about 850 km in 12 days exploring the island. The weather was brilliant 10 days out of 12, except the last two (September began).
Milna provides a great choise of different restaurants. It's sad, that we didn't manage to visit all of them, although we've gone out almoust every evening. Frankly speaking, most of all I've admired dishes served in "Palma".. Wish to have their mixed grill again..
The apartment itself has all necessary (and even unnecessary))) conveniences for a comfortable vacation. Personally I admired the lovely seaview from the terrace.
I definitely recomment everyone to take an opportunity and spend your vacations there.
P.S. Writing this review in the office late at the rainy Moscow evening... I wish I was there again :-)
Pleasant clean apartment, pool shallow and cool, half hour walk to the village. The beach is really just a rocky headland with concrete platforms to swim from. The area is beautiful and you have a good view from the balcony.
Come in the high season of July and August and you’ll find Milna vibrant with life with holidaymakers from all over Europe, especially from the yachting community as there are 2 stylish marinas in the town. Enjoy the traditional cuisine and sample the friendly bars and cafés of the village.
For a quiet holiday come in May/June or September/October and enjoy this 16th Century fishing town with its Venetian architecture and slow pace of life.
A daily passenger service catamaran runs to Split to permit sightseeing and shopping in the alleyways and squares of the delightful 1700 year old Diocleceans Palace.
