We save you the hassle of having to immediately run out and purchase many, if not most, of the "basics" that most people need when they rent a short-term apartment. This could save you €100 or more in additional out-of-pocket expenses that you often throw away or leave behind when you depart.

The following items are all present and available for your use:

Coffee for Senseo coffeemaker, tea, sugar, Nescafe instant coffee, powdered chocolate for breakfast, olive oil, vegetable oil, vinegar, assorted condiments and spices, salt & pepper, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, butter, margarine, Tobasco sauce, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, soap tablets and glass cleaner for dishwasher, laundry detergent, Woolite, fabric softener, bleach, shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, hand soap, toilette paper, glass cleaner, furniture polish, anti-calc and degreasers for cleaning bathroom and kitchen, and a variety of other cleaning and laundry products.

A number of EU-to-Swiss electrical plug adapters are available for your use during your visit, in case of need. In addition, a hair dryer is present.

In addition, we will provide a complimentary bottle of wine to help take the edge off your travel in arriving here!

The bed linens were professionally cleaned and ironed for your comfort, prior to your arrival. Quilts, varying by season, are provided. A set of bath and hand towel for each registered guest is also provided.

Large (90 m2), modern apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows provide lots of light. High 2.8 m ceilings give the feeling of open space. Parquet wood floors (granite in kitchen, bathroom & WC). Decorated, furnished with everything one would normally need.

OPTIONAL: Garage parking (20 CHF/day) eliminates all costs and problems with parking on Geneva streets or public garages.

NOTE: Public garages in Genea normally charge 40 CHF for 24 hours. Street parking in Geneva requires plugging the meter with coins every 90 minutes in white zones or changing the parking disc every 60 minutes in blue zones.)

You will have access to the entire apartment.

• Master bedroom has a large 2 x 2 meter king-size bed.

• Second bedroom has a large 1.6 x 2 meter double-size bed. (We will free up closet space to satisfy your stated needs in both bedrooms.)

• Large living room and dining room area includes 46-inch LED 3D flatscreen Samsung SmartTV with Swisscom 2.0 cable providing channels in many languages and a large American-style side-by-side refrigerator/freezer.

• Large fully-equipped kitchen also includes microwave and dishwasher for convenience, as well as integrated washing machine and dryer.

• Bathroom with shower and separate WC.

Special security door for the apartment provides additional security in an already-safe building and neighborhood. The main entrance door to the building is also secured by digital PIN code entered on keypad.

The Augustins neighborhood of Geneva is a popular district with all types of shops, cafés and restaurants. There are no less than 4 supermarkets within 200 meters of the apartment (Lidl @ 20m, Denner @ 50m, Coop @ 100m & Migros @ 200m), some open as late as 7:30pm. There are numerous convenience stores within 200m around the apartment, some open as late as midnight, every day. There are also countless restaurants with sidewalk terraces all around the apartment, including Italian, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Portuguese and African just to name a few.

The "Augustins" tram stop is only 75 meters from the front door of the building. The two tram lines that stop there (Nr. 12, every 3-4 minutes & Nr. 18, every 6-7 minutes) will connect you to everywhere in Geneva.

Because the apartment is in the center of Geneva, you can walk to many popular sites in 10-20 minutes. The English Gardens on Lake Léman is only 20 minutes away by foot, using a slow walk.

By tram, it is only 3 minutes to the Grande Théâtre and the Parc des Bastions at the Place de Neuve (below the old city of Geneva), and 4 minutes to the main banking and shopping districts ("Bel-Air" or "Bel-Air Cité" tram stops). Both are also easily accessible with a slow 10-20 minute walk if you prefer. Beautiful Lake Léman is immediately adjacent to the banking/shopping district in the Rue de la Confédération and Rue du Marché.

Other popular areas and sights are also just a few more minutes or tram stops away, such as Paquis, famous for its many restaurants, Genève Plage (Geneva Beach), the United Nations, the Botanical Gardens, etc.

The main train station is only 6 trams stops, about 9-10 minutes, away from the apartment, and accessible with a direct tram, the 18. With a simple single transfer from a variety of tram stops, the total time to/from the airport is 25 minutes. With a reasonable amount of luggage, you will find both journeys comfortable.

The maximum capacity of the apartment is contractually limited to the persons named by the renter to us at the time of reservation.

We ask that you please treat our house as if it were your own, and our neighbors as if they were your neighbors.

Our apartment was cleaned in advance of renting to you and the beds were made with linens that were professionally cleaned and ironed for your comfort. No cleaning fees were charged to you. Please remove all bed linens that you used during your stay and place them with your towels in the bathtub when you leave. Please otherwise leave the apartment in the condition you found it.

• No receptions, parties or events (or other gatherings of persons above the maximum capacity).

• No smoking.

• No pets.

• No drugs or other illegal substances.

• No loud music that would carry into other apartments or the street after 10:00pm.

We will be outside of the country during the indicated periods, thus limiting our face-to-face interaction with the guest. We are, however, available by mobile telephone in case of emergency. We will gladly speak in advance by telephone or Skype to provide recommendations, answer questions, etc.

About The Owner

Hello everybody!

We are a married professional couple in Geneva without children in the home! We moved to Geneva from Luxembourg in December 2014.

Kelly works in private banking for a prominent world-class private bank. I am an independent professional.

Kelly speaks Brazilian Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. Rick speaks English, German, French, Portuguese and Luxembourish.

As hosts, we prefer to rent to professional couples and families, as the size and type of our property most closely fits this profile of traveller. We do, however, make exceptions , on a case-by-case basis, for professional singles with similar profiles.

As VRBO/HomeAway guests, we generally travel alone as a couple, however, summer/beach vacations may occasionally include one or more of our adult children. This is usually easy to see by the size of the property we are looking for.

The Augustins neighborhood of Geneva is a popular district with all types of shops, cafés and restaurants. Most popular destinations in Geneva are less than 10 minutes by tram from the apartment, including a direct tram to the main train station (Nr. 18), and a simple transfer to the airport by bus or train. With transfer, the total time from the airport to the apartment is about 25 minutes.

By tram, it is only 3 minutes (3 stops) to the Grande Théâtre at the Place de Neuve (beneath the old city of Geneva), and 4 minutes (4 stops) to the main banking and shopping district. Both are easily accessible with a slow 15-minute walk if you prefer. Beautiful Lake Léman is just 5 minutes further by foot after descending the tram ("Bel-Air" or "Bel-Air Cité", each 4 stops) or walking to the banking/shopping district in the Rue de la Confédération.

Because the apartment is in the center of Geneva, you can walk to many popular sites in 10-20 minutes. The English Gardens on Lake Léman is only 20 minutes away by foot, using a slow comfortable pace.
