Guestbook comments from the owner

Wow what a find this house has been, spacious, warm, well equiped and perfectly located in a quiet but central location for exploring all the delights that Strathspey has to offer, we took in the castle trail, golfing at Craggan which is a lovely course with great scenery, distilleries up and down speyside and white water rafting with Ace adventures on the river findhorn which really turned into one of the most enjoyable days of my life, the river which is largely hidden from the road is an absalote gem and just has to be seen by floating down it, i would recommend this to anyone, the house was great so comfortable and well equiped and the wifi access was great for keeping an eye on a few things back at work which needed our attention.

We will definately be coming back

Comfortable home

A quiet area in the beautiful Highlands. House is comfortable and is a short distance from Grantown-on-Spry and Avimore. Would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful House

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a week in Corrimony, a house in a lovely location, with pine woods behind and a path into the woods beside the house. Corrimony is spacious and comfortable, with a lawned area to the front and grass also to the rear. The property is very well maintained and clean. It is only 3 miles to Grantown and facilities - shops, hotels, golf course etc. We had a lovely meal in 7 Bistro in the Square. We were sad to leave and wished we could have stayed for another week. We met the owner, who was very friendly.

A home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed in Corrimony for a week in July 2016. The house itself is just lovely. It was spotlessly clean and very easy to heat. The beds were very comfortable, especially the four poster which I had already earmarked as mine before we arrived! The main objective of our holiday was to spend time together as a family. On the days when the weather wasn't wonderful, we still enjoyed our time around the house, chilling out, cooking lovely meals in the very well equipped kitchen and lounging around on the very comfortable sofas. We even rediscovered our love of monopoly. (which we found in the downstairs hall cupboard). The unlimited free wi-fi was fantastic as we had two young adults and a teenager in our company. Corrimony is in an ideal location for touring - we took several day trips, with my favourite being our trip to Loch Ness and the "kids'"favourite being the go karting outside Aviemore. I was really happy with our choice and I would recommend this family home to anyone. I would love to have stayed another week!

A holiday house felt like home

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a week , to celebrate the 50th anniversary of my sister and my brother in law. Corrimony is a very comfortable house, it had everything we needed, a pleasant livingroom, good beds, a well-provided kitchen, etc. It made us feel like home. Chris, the owner, is very helpfull. We had a wonderful week, and hope to be able to come again.

Stunning House and location

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this wonderful house and its even better now as the carpets have been replaced with lovely oak flooring.

The house lies within a great setting with magnificent views of the forest and mountains and at the side is a path that leads up to the forest that takes you down to the village or river.

The house is very clean, comfortable and well equipped with lots of space as the rooms are huge.

The lounge has three large leather sofas and an open fire which must be wonderful in the winter.

The dining room has a large table and patio doors leading out to the garden.

The kitchen is very well equipped and has a washing machine/dryer and dishwasher.

The beds are very comfortable and even a four poster in one of them!

Our party consisted of eight including a baby (plus dog) but the house is so big we didnt feel crowded at all.

Theres also a new high chair and travel cot.

Outside are two large picnic tables and a BBQ and the garden is well maintained. Also has an airer to hang out washing.

Parking is also very good, we fit three cars on easily.

Its in a great location and Grantown only three miles down the road with good shops.

The owner of the house is very friendly and helpful and the price we paid was very reasonable for the standards of this wonderful house.

There is so much to do within easy reach but if you want tranquility this is perfect.

I would certainly recommend this accommodation and will hopefully be back soon for a third visit.

Cant rate it highly enough.
