Located within walking distance from the Village Green where almost all of our activities take place within Palmetto Bluff, this cheery home is perfect for a weekend getaway or a month during the summertime. Another great feature is the ease of attending weddings since it is within walking distance from the MONTAGE Palmetto Bluff chapel. The Interior was personalized by the homeowner who is a long time resident born in Savannah. Her southern roots are exemplified throughout the home.
The layout of the home is perfect for two families in that there are king and queen bedrooms downstairs with their own bathrooms attached. There is also a twin bedroom downstairs with its own bathroom. The upstairs is a perfect configuration for kids in T
that there are two full beds and a large gathering area for playing games or watching television. The bathroom upstairs adjoins the large room which includes the two beds and sofa. It is also perfect for individuals that want their own space due to the privacy of the curtains that surround the beds.
The front porch sits one block away from the Main Street so that any vehicle noise is less apparent. Enjoy a late afternoon cocktail or a glass of Sweetened Tea as you watch the world bicycle or walk by the front porch. If you would like a little more privacy, there are two chairs behind the home on the back screened in porch as well as a propane grill for grilling.
Why stay at Montage Palmetto Bluff when you can rent an entire house for less?
The homeowners are long time Atlanta residents but also maintain a home in Old Town Bluffton. This home was purchased when Palmetto Bluff was just being established. As the caretaker of the property, I am one of the few full-time residents that live in Palmetto Bluff year round. Because I live so close, I like to meet you at the home upon your arrival and give you a quick "lay of the land" so to say. I am also available if any problems may arise or if you have any questions on what to do or where to eat. In a sense, I am your personal concierge.
Arlene Flick purchased this house in 2005
The owners purchased this property because of all the amenities that Palmetto Bluff has to offer including the pools, fitness canters, tennis pavilion, kayaking, shooting club and the many bicycle trails through the property. Their grandchildren love to stay and visit during the summer months and holidays.
We came here for a ladies 40th birthday getaway. The house is in a perfect location. Close to the water, shops, restaurants, and The Montage. What a beautiful community and it was a perfect weekend! We will be back and thank you Arlene for welcoming us.
The house was lovely! Centrally located, clean and charming! Gorgeous porch, beautiful kitchen (top notch appliances) and big comfortable bedrooms with heavenly beds. The upstairs is perfect for teenagers with a separate seating area and beds with pull curtains to create a fun loft feel. It was a fabulous house - we can't wait to go back!
We rented this home for Music to Your Mouth, a yearly music and food festival at Palmetto Bluff. We chose this home because it was close to all the activities for the festival. It was the perfect choice. It is a smaller home--4 bedrooms but the 4th is very small-it has just a daybed but its own bathroom. We had 4 adults and 3 kids so the upstairs was great for our daughters. The family room was a bit tight when trying to all watch TV but we made it work since we were outside most of the trip but on a rainy day it might be a little claustrophobic. The house is in great shape--very clean and well stocked with cooking equipment. We were a little worried there would be lot of street noise being so close to town but even on Music to your Mouth weekend the property was quiet. We loved being able to walk to Buffalos and the water so quickly. Palmetto Bluff itself is amazing. We own property there so we try to visit often until we are able to build something. We had spa appointments and the new spa is wonderful. We had a great dinner at Buffalos and enjoyed kayaking out to the sandbar. We also love the Mimosas on the May cruise on the Grace. Another wonderful weekend at the Bluff!
The house was beautiful, and the owners were extremely nice. Great place to stay!
I had rented 5 houses through Arlene Flick and that was one of them. A lot of my wedding guests stayed for 4 days and were absolutely in love with palmetto bluff and the rentals.
Arlene was great to work with from the moment I contacted her through VRBO until even days after my wedding and check out. She made early check ins and late check outs possible with no stress and explained me all the houses in a quick and organized way. With me as the bride being busy with all the arrivals and last minute organizations , she always reachable and worked amazing with my last minute schedule, even after the hurricane Matthew she was in quick response to me.
We fell in love with palmetto bluff years ago and the houses in the village are just another amazing charm of the low country.
We just spent a week at Palmetto Bluff and my two sons are already asking about a return trip. The home was perfect for our group of six, my sons loved their private getaway upstairs. The location was ideal, just steps from the Canoe Club, Buffalo's and the family pool. The house itself was well stocked with incidentals, well furnished and very comfortable. Our bikes were waiting for us upon arrival and we put them to good use. The golf course is spectacular and my wife and mother-in-law loved their spa treatments. Arlene was very easy to work with, allowing us to delay our check-out for a couple of hours.
I would return to this home again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it, we had a fantastic week!
Palmetto Bluff is located on the May River which is home to dolphins, water fowl, various fish, shrimp and oysters. Be sure to drive fifteen minutes down the road to Old Town Bluffton to take in our little quirky town full of galleries and restaurants.
