Central city oasis

  • 5 of 5

This brick rowhouse sits on a quiet street with a coffee shop on the corner, and much of Philadelphia's culture close by. I have stayed there three times in different seasons with friends and we love stepping through the door into this quiet oasis - warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The home is tastefully decorated, and the kitchen and bathrooms are modern, clean and have everything needed. There is a small, private backyard with seating for relaxing and eating, but with so many great restaurants in the city these days, many within walking distance, we are always tempted to be out and about. The house is an excellent base for those inclined to jog, with several routes that show you the city from various vantage points, with my particular favorite being the easily-reached riverside. The owners were always contactable and helpful. Overall, a great central Philly base that I will use again.

Excellent, spacious home!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Philadelphia for the marathon and enjoyed our stay at the house. The location was great (very close to the start, very central in terms of getting to museums, etc). The house itself was excellent with a nice living room for all of us to hang out in, comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms. The owners were very accommodating for our early arrival on Saturday and were a pleasure to deal with. We will certainly look to stay here again on our next trip.

Location, location, location!

  • 5 of 5

I visited Philadelphia in July and could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay. The home is just behind the Franklin Institute on a quiet, well-lit street. As a female I felt very safe in this cozy part of the neighborhood. I could easily walk to the Art Museum to run up the famous Rocky steps and continue along the scenic river path. It was also easy to walk to LOVE park and City Hall, where there are tons of restaurants and public transit options for greater exploration. The home itself is clean, bright and welcoming. It has comfortable beds and great reading chairs. I hope to return soon!

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Hi. I couldn't have been happier with the location of this house. It was located right across the street from the Franklin, a few blocks away from the Barnes, and the Art Museum. I didn't need a car at all. Seemed equi-distant from both Trader Joe's or WholeFoods, as well as all the great restaurants in the area. Nice outside area for relaxing. Well-furnished and was a great stay!
