MORE HOUSE DETAILS
You will be staying at the guest house of the property. It is about 100m from the main house, where my wife and I have lived for over 15 years. We have a small business in the city and we spend almost all year round here.
You will have all the privacy of a house with garden and balcony just for you, your family and friends. But if you need anything, we're by the side and just call. Count on us. We also have a caretaker who can help you with anything if needed.
The house has 2 bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds.
The common area also has a sofa bed, for 2 adult.
The house has a bathroom with a good electric shower. The weather here is mild all year round. We guarantee your bath will always be warm enough.
Because we only have one bathroom, our suggestion is that the maximum capacity is 5 adults, or 4 adults and 2 children. More people than suggested compromise the comfort of the guests.
The kitchen is equipped with stove, refrigerator, electric sandwich maker, blender, coffee filter port and a mocha coffee maker, and everything you need to prepare your meals.
The house has wi-fi internet. However, NETFLIX, YOUTUBE, MUSIC VIDEOS AND STREAMING ARE PROHIBITED. As well as any kind of download. The internet is free of charge.
We guarantee you will not need a fan, much less air conditioning. We are at 1100m from sea level. Even so, if you find it indispensable, we have 1 fan to borrow.
The water comes directly from the spring and is potable in all faucets in the house. Use the filter to always have fresh water.
The balcony has a wood burning stove and we always have firewood available if you want to put into practice your culinary skills from the farm. We also have iron pots. Request it.
It is forbidden to build a fire. The area is extremely subject to fires. Only use the stove.
Your car is 30 meters from the house in the parking lot of the property.
The space is absolutely safe and you do not have to worry about anything. The neighborhood is made up of few people and everyone knows and helps each other.
The property has 53 hectares and is dedicated almost entirely to environmental preservation. The cerrado is untouched in practically the whole area, except in the space dedicated to the houses, vegetable garden and living areas, where permaculture is practiced. In the property and surroundings circulate species like tapir, wolf guará, tamanduá flag, siriema, armadillo, macaws, toucans. If you're lucky you might even see one of them.
For those who are very detailed, follow the footage of the house pieces (in square meters):
Balcony = 20
Bathroom = 3.70
Kitchen + living room = 19
Double room = 18
Single room = 8
Privacy is total. We will welcome you, show you how things work, give a set of keys and then you have free access. There is a parking inside the property with a vacancy for you.
We can give you hiking tips, where to eat, what to do, where to go, but we know that your vacation is yours and you want to enjoy it with your family or friends.
If you need anything in relation to the house (if something stops working, for example) we are always available to arrange.
- MONTAIN BIKERS: I know several interesting tracks for the galera who enjoy the pedal. Talk to me that I indicate. Some you can do yourself, others with a specialized guide that will accompany you. Who knows, we can even pedal together ...
"Two bitches live on the farm: a labrador, White, and a little fox, Yuki. The two are docile and friendly with adults and children.
- During the rainy season, from November to May, the region may run out of electricity for up to 24 hours due to storms. Repair is often in places that are difficult to access and the return of energy can take time..
- In the house the signal of cell phone is very weak, and only works of Vivo. Next to the house has a 100m trail. At the end of it you pick up signal from all operators at full power.
To stay here it is indispensable to have a car. There is no public transport of any kind and on foot are long distances.
You will be in the heart of Chapada dos Veadeiros, at the apex between 3 main points: Morro do Buracão, Morro da Baleia and Serra da Boa Vista. Enter these terms in Google + Chapada dos Veadeiros to get an idea.
Formerly, the neighborhood was composed of 3 large farms.
Over time, the heirs of these farms dismantled the area in smaller areas, ranging from 50 to 100 hectares, which fortunately were sold to "outsiders" - as people from other cities and parts of the country are called - with the intention of preserving the cerrado and wild animals.
As areas are large, privacy is total and critters walk free between one farm and another.
To know the area well, make a great walk, light level of approx. 40min. You leave home and head towards a place called the Golden Valley. This road has incredible scenic beauty and when you reach the top of the hill you will have a view of the sunset as the few places the Chapada offer.
We are located halfway between Alto Paraíso and Vila de São Jorge.
What is great here is that you are close to almost all the main attractions, which lie right between the two locations.
For example, you can take advantage of the Rural Farmer's Fair in Alto Paraiso, have an excellent vegan or traditional breakfast there, then visit the Valley of the Moon, have lunch in São Jorge and then stay at home in a quiet place drinking a wine seeing the Milky Way from the front of his house.
To get there, you leave Alto Paraiso toward the village of São Jorge. Turn 12km on the asphalt and take the left. Turn another 3 km on the ground road and you have arrived.
This 3km stretch of beaten ground can be made by any type of car, without restriction, with rain or sun.
The house is 27 km from the village of São Jorge. You return the 3 km of dirt road, and while blinding on the main road runs another 25km on the asphalt.
When confirming your reservation we will send you an e-mail with a detailed map showing how to get there.
