We came down to Austin for a friend’s bachelor party, and the property far exceeded our expectations. The layout was beyond amazing for our large group and would highly recommend to anyone.
This is our second stay at "The Compound". We rented it for our employees that flew in for a work event. It works perfectly for a group. Miles, the owner, is so friendly and chill. We will continue to stay as long as he lets us.
Optimal location, very hospitable and attentive host, comfortable
We were a group of 22 people for a wedding and we had an absolute blast at this property. Such a cool and fun setting in the heart of Soco. Extremely unique, well cared for. Miles and Will owners and Joe the groundskeeper were all super attentive, pleasant, polite, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. House with modern finishes and all comforts of home which airstream guests could share when needed but all trailers had AC and running water. Ample space to grill, hang, enjoy each other. This property is above and beyond, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Perfect place to have a reunion of good friends.
Such a unique place to stay for our crowd. Miles made us feel very welcomed. Wonderful place for our reunion of lifelong friends. Plenty of places to eat together, talk, reminisce, as well as each of us having our own private places to retreat to if needed. Easy access to airport bus, walking around SOCO, walk to downtown, ride bikes, or see bats. airstreams were very comfortable. Would love to return there for another gathering.
Amazing location for going out & very spacious & comfortable for staying in.
Amazing location within walking distance to Austin's charming restaurants and shops. Thirteen of us ranging in age from 11 to 73 had private sleeping quarters in house & studio apartment AND 5 Airstream trailers with AC & heat & connected to water, sewer & electricity - a total of 8 bathrooms!
Well stocked kitchen & dining room and TV's in house & studio & an outside venue as well. Enough room for 13 of us to sit cozily at one table which was great for game playing as well as for meals. Also outside ping pong venue.
Very accommodating Manager Miles readily available for questions & any problems. Plenty of off street parking - we had 3 cars.
All the ingredients for a wonderful holiday gathering for our family.
Such a cool and awesome space in Austin. Miles is so friendly and helpful. Great place to spend the weekend
Within walking distance to many SOCO bars and restaurants. Downtown is just minutes away by foot. Watch the bats (largest free tailed bat colony in North America) from Congress bridge. Or, run bike or stroll along the water front on Town lake. Whatever the activity the property is in the heart of Austin's most popular tourist area.
