About Kathy Siebe

We have made Wallowa County our home for the last 35 years, and plan to spend the next 35 year here as well! Always on the go, we enjoy hiking, golfing, and being tourists in our own town.

Kathy Siebe purchased this house in 2014

Why Kathy Siebe chose Joseph

We bought this property because it was sad and rundown and we wanted to make it beautiful again. We have completely renovated it and are very happy with the results. We hope visitors will enjoy it as well.

What makes this house unique

We wanted to make this a vacation rental property because the location is perfect. It is close to the north end of Wallowa Lake where the locals swim and play and also central to the downtown Joseph. It is great fun sitting on the front porch and watching the people (and deer!) go by. The backyard is large and would be great for a volleyball game and the patio is perfect for barbecuing.

Super clean and peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

The house was well equipped with what we needed and the couches were very comfortable! We enjoyed watching Netflix on the Smart TV and the place was very quiet. Great shower pressure.

My daughters and I enjoyed our stay, very much. Spent most of our time at the house, relaxing. Always love visiting Wallowa Lake and Joseph, such a beautiful place.

Happy to find this two bedroom house in Joseph, Oregon!

  • 4 of 5

The Wild Iris House was perfect for us -- two couples in Joseph to visit relatives. The weekend we were there it SNOWED like crazy and got very cold, but we were comfortable indoors. Owners responded promptly to a couple of questions we had while there.

A fine place to stay in Joseph

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the Wild Iris House. It is well situated between downtown Joseph and the road to the Lake and the state park. The house is well-equipped, especially the kitchen and is comfortable and spacious. A negative is the small eating table which can only accommodate two and definitely not four. The washer-dryer in the basement is a slight inconvenience, but certainly not a major problem. Overall we would rate the house an A- and would definitely consider staying there again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review! We heard you and made custom benches for more seating in the cozy dining nook and lowered the table to 30". Come again. Kathy

pleasant oasis

  • 5 of 5

the Wild Iris house is nondescript from the outside, but spacious and stylish on the inside.

the open kitchen and living room make for a roomy relaxation area.

eat your breakfast in the back yard in the company of a family of deer.

it is not far to walk into the core of Joseph -- it's just a mile to the farther end of town, in fact.

it's just a blink of a drive to the beach & boat put-in at the north end of Lake Wallowa, and 5 miles to the state park at the south end.

relaxing, artistic place to enjoy NE Oregon

  • 5 of 5

The house is at the intersection of going into Joseph or climbing to Wallowa Lake. It is a short walk to the Iwetemlaykin State Heritage Site with its pretty views. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and soaking in the morning sunshine and then the afternoon shade in the backyard. The house was artfully decorated and relaxing. I look forward to returning to the area and staying at the Wild Iris House again.
