A traditional character cottage close to beaches, Bude town centre and the canal

Bedrooms 3
Separate WC's1
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

3 bedroom cottage to sleep 5 on north cornish coast, with parking and garden.

Brannel cottage is a delightful terraced cottage, situated between the canal and the river Neet, and a short walk from Bude town centre, Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches.

The cottage combines traditional charm with 21st century convenience and has gas central heating, a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, and a delightful courtyard garden with BBQ, table and chairs. There is off street parking for 2 cars.

The double, twin and single bedrooms accommodate 5 adults in comfort with a travel cot available for an infant. A separate sitting room with futon settees and a games table offers space for children to play or read while the main sitting room has a TV and DVD player.

The dining hall has a farmhouse table and chairs for 6, from which the unusual staircase rises in two directions to the bedrooms and bathroom above. Many guests return year after year to this warm and welcoming cottage

The cottage is deceptively large with a lounge, dining room, fully fitted kitchen and a second lounge / playroom which has a small games table. The unusual stairs split into two directions and lead to 3 bedrooms - a double (king size bed), a twin room and a small single. The bathroom has a shower above the bath and there is an additional cloakroom downstairs. The courtyard garden has a built-in BBQ and patio table and chairs for 6, and there is parking for 2 cars via the rear access lane. Pet owners can bring 1 dog on request and for a small extra fee - pets are not allowed in the bedrooms.

Bude is an unspoilt resort on the north cornish coast set in an area of great natural beauty. Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches are easily accessible on foot and Widmouth beach - popular with surfers, is just 3 miles along the coast. There is also a tide-washed natural swimming pool and beach lifeguards in attendance.

Close by there are public tennis courts, mini-golf, library, restaurants, pubs, a children's playground and a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool and bowling alley.

There are 2 large supermarkets in the vicinity and the cottage is almost next door to a post-office shop which is open 7 days a week.

Many guests return year on year to enjoy the unique position of the cottage and the delights of North Cornwall.

Fantastic cottage in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Having stayed in Bude many times, this is by far the best accommodation we have had, spacious, family orientated, well equipped and a great location close to local amenities, beach and pubs! We loved our stay so much we have booked already for next year!

Clean and comfortable with plenty of room for five

  • 5 of 5

Bramley cottage was a pleasure to stay in. It was clean and tidy and easily large enough to accommodate our party of 5, thanks to the brilliant games room. The cottage was also well equipped and very homely and the table football game was very well used by us, especially with the poor weather during our second week there. Being in the town meant we could walk to the shops, beach, canal and cliff paths easily when we didn't want to drive to anywhere else. The only slight downside was traffic noise in the front bedrooms, but if you rent in a town centre you have to expect that! We dined at two local restaurants, both of which provided exceptional quality food and service. We would return happily as the cottage is good value for money.

Brannel Cottage Bude the reason for booking again!

  • 5 of 5

We very rarely visit the same place twice yet alone stay in the same property, but this is different, Bude is a nice place to visit and the cottage is very close to the beach and the town,

The cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything you are likely to need we could not think of anything we would add or change to the cottage and as accomadation providers ourselves we know how much work has been put into this property to make your stay enjoyable, and there is private parking right on your doorstep.

The owners were very helpful which made booking the cottage a trouble free pleasure, You would have to go along way to beat this.

There are some very good restaraunt's within walking distance of the property, and if you are into fishing you won't beat it it's right on your doorstep like 75 yards with some very good fishing to be had from the canal and beach.

We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked it again for 2013 and like I said at the begining we rarely go to the same place twice certainly not two years running but this is well worth a second visit if not more, I am sure it won't be our last visit.

So if you are looking for a really good property in Bude you have found it,

Our festive Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed this beautiful cottage over the Christmas period and we had a fabulously festive experience. The cottage was exactly as described and made for a very welcome and warm stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfy. This cottage is perfectly situated for gorgeous walks and is close to all shops and ammenities.

The only negative I have is that the cottage did not have WIFI so we used the hotel and pub a lot to gain access!

I would recommend staying at Brannel cottage as it certainly is value for money.

Would recommend for anyone looking for a great cottage with lots of character close to all amenities. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks for a great holiday.
