Log cabin hand built by the Amish over a running creek like in the old days - but with electricity and heat! We have a wood stove, outside toilet, outside solar shower in Summer and hot water Spring and Autumn . Two cots with comfortable mattresses. There's a balcony over the cliffs with a beautiful view of the creek. This property is completely surrounded by the woods and lots of wildlife. This is a quiet and relaxing place , meant for only two adults. Dogs are no problem! No smoking on the property at all, please - due to a fire hazard. Wine and beer are fine, but no hard liquor.
Just a love story , met my wife in France . Love at the first site , move to Florida 31years ago , get married , Fort Lauderdale for 16 years , came for the first time in Montana in 1992 and love again . Move here for good in 2000 and retired
Jacques P Berten purchased this cabin in 2004
I bought first 20 acres , bare with woods , pasture and.....a running creek . Built a log home (the Amish ) , a barn , a hay barn , a log cabin , and 5 miles a split cedar fence , and after bought 10 + 10 + 10 . And now we have a total of 50 acres
Live a dream , with 10 horses , 2 dogs , in the middle of god's country , and make peace with yourself . Away from all your problems .
Jacques and Patricia are great hosts, their hospitality is outstanding. The log cabin is very cozy, I loved the wood fired oven, and the area is very quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to get away from everything and relax.
My husband and I needed to find a last minute place to stay, and on the 4th of July weekend that is not easy in this area. We found this cabin and decided to check it out. We really liked it here. There's lots of land you can just go for a walk on. There's a gazebo on a hill in the woods close to the cabin. There's a deck next to the cabin with a grill on it that we could use. There are tipi's in front of the cabin in the trees for other guests to stay in, but there was no one in them when we were there so the privacy was nice! It's perfectly out in the country but close to town... 10 min drive maybe.
The cabin inside was nice and cool on the hot days. The cots were pretty comfortable. There is electricity inside, but no running water. They do have like an RV toilet in there that works just fine. There's a tent shower outside with hot water. There was an accumulative amount of dirt/dust under the beds... But it is a very outdoorsy cabin:)... It didn't bother us but it might with someone who has bad allergies to that. There's a deck on the back of the cabin that looks over the creek below... So pretty!!
Thank you Jacques and Patricia for the pleasant stay and for your sweet hospitality. We really did enjoy it, it's just what we needed.
Pleasant hosts. Quite and well located. Only 5 minutes drive to town of Eureka. Clean and quiet.
Very nice place, the master bedroom was beautiful, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere
Located on Hwy 93 , 4,5 miles from Eureka
No smoking , pets welcome ,no kids , 2 adults cabin
