Log Cabin in the Woods

Bedrooms 1
Space 300 sq. ft.
Property type cabin

About the property

Log cabin hand built by the Amish over a running creek like in the old days - but with electricity and heat! We have a wood stove, outside toilet, and outside hot water shower , Spring , Summer and Autumn . A confortable queen size bed, a balcony over the cliffs with a beautiful view of the creek. A secluded place that will take you a million miles away from it all completely surrounded by trees and lots of wildlife. This is a quiet and relaxing place , meant for only two adults. Dogs are no problem! No smoking on the property at all, please - due to a fire hazard. Wine and beer are fine, but no hard liquor.

Simply the best place in NW Montana!

  • 5 of 5

Jacques and his wife, Patricia are fabulous hosts and their accommodations are charmingly rustic. We stayed both in the cabin and in a tipi. Both were just perfect! We will be coming back to the Bear 10 Ranch!

Perfect for us

  • 5 of 5

This was exactly what we were looking for. A peaceful place to get away. We were looking for a long weekend where we could unwind. This was perfect. Jacques and Patricia are great friendly people and make the stay that much more enjoyable. The sound of the creek and the bird life is awesome. There is an outdoor kitchen, shower and an outhouse. We stayed in the cabin. The tipis are very inviting as well. We'll be back!

The perfect hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Jacques and Patricia are great hosts, their hospitality is outstanding. The log cabin is very cozy, I loved the wood fired oven, and the area is very quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to get away from everything and relax.

A quiet peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I needed to find a last minute place to stay, and on the 4th of July weekend that is not easy in this area. We found this cabin and decided to check it out. We really liked it here. There's lots of land you can just go for a walk on. There's a gazebo on a hill in the woods close to the cabin. There's a deck next to the cabin with a grill on it that we could use. There are tipi's in front of the cabin in the trees for other guests to stay in, but there was no one in them when we were there so the privacy was nice! It's perfectly out in the country but close to town... 10 min drive maybe.

The cabin inside was nice and cool on the hot days. The cots were pretty comfortable. There is electricity inside, but no running water. They do have like an RV toilet in there that works just fine. There's a tent shower outside with hot water. There was an accumulative amount of dirt/dust under the beds... But it is a very outdoorsy cabin:)... It didn't bother us but it might with someone who has bad allergies to that. There's a deck on the back of the cabin that looks over the creek below... So pretty!!

Thank you Jacques and Patricia for the pleasant stay and for your sweet hospitality. We really did enjoy it, it's just what we needed.
