The canal is a gorgeous waterway lined by palm trees that feeds into the Gulf of Mexico. The home is just four miles from town and two miles from the Naval Life Oaks Reservation (part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore).
The two-story home offers fantastic interior design, two downstairs living rooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a pool table. Relax by the gas fireplace on breezy days or enjoy media entertainment including a sound dock, WiFi, and a flatscreen TV.
Dine indoors at the kitchen island or formal table, or make your way to the lush patio boasting a dining table with seating for six and a gas grill.
The fabulous home features three bedrooms and two full baths and will sleep six guests. Sleeping options include a king bed, two queen beds, and a twin bed in the loft. The master suite offers a home office, lounge area, and detached jetted tub. Central AC and a private washer and dryer will keep all of your guests feeling pampered.
The weather will invite you to spend days on the patio! The tropical space is fully stocked with chaise lounges and accent tables so you can sunbathe or relax with a fruity drink and good book!
On the water, your private dock is perfect for fishing and serves as the gateway to deep-sea fishing adventures and dolphin watching. Please note, however, that guests do not have access to a boat lift and that all crafts must be tied to the dock and no more than 25 feet in length.

The house is advertised as entertainment ready, with a pool table, docking station, nice spacious yard and tub with jets. However, none of this is true. There is a pool table , but none of the accessories that are needed are provided (such as pool sticks). I called 3 times to complain and have this fixed and no response. There is no docking station that we could find anywhere. The jets in the tub do not work and after requesting assistance 3 different times, nothing was remedied. The back yard was not available for use because the owner of the property lives about 20 feet from the back door in a boat and has his dog running freely in the yard. The dog barked at us on many occasions and made it where I could not use the back yard. The owner of the property was constantly around and coming through the yard and one night knocked on the door and came all the way through the house and allowed his dog to roam freely indoors with my children and our personal belongings. He came into the master bedroom where I was staying and where my private belongings were located which created a very uncomfortable and awkward setting. I felt watched the entire stay. The instructions request that you start a load of laundry before leaving, but no detergent is provided. In order to have clean towels for each day, I had to find a store and purchase detergent to wash towels and sheets. Although the property itself is beautiful and looks as advertised, nothing else is as advertised.

House was great. We were able to tie up a 16 ft boat to the dock - nice for anyone who enjoys boating. The owner when we saw him could not have been nicer or more helpful for dining suggestions etc.
This house is a great bargain for boat owners wanting to keep their boat in the backyard.

We stayed here for a family reunion and loved it! We met John the owner of the property (who lives on his boat in the canal behind the house) and he was very helpful and friendly. He even accepted our invitation to a gumbo dinner party one night. Our whole family crew--(with families staying at several different properties in the area) ended up gathering each night for dinner at this property because it has so much space and such a great kitchen. We didn't use the upstairs loft, but did use the fold out futon couch most nights, which in addition to the 2 nice bedrooms made for plenty of sleeping space. The master bedroom with bath is especially beautiful. Choosing this home made our whole family reunion that much nicer since we ended up all gathering at it each night.
