Lovely property in beautiful resort

  • 4 of 5

Stay Aug 2017.

Very well presented villa outside the coast road in Kalkan.

We stayed here with my teenage children and in laws (70's).

The villa is well equipped, has lovely shady ground floor and first floor terrace/balconies, and a open roof terrace with lovely views over the town. Due to the positioning of neighbouring villa there are v limited views from pool level.

The pool is of a good size and is regularly cleaned by Ramazan and his team who speak good English and offer advice and help.

There are 2 good size main bedrooms with aircon. The third bedroom is up in the roof area , has sloping low ceilings and is more suitable for younger children.

Kalkan is very hilly, and the approach road from the coast road is very steep. One in three in places.

It is a pleasant 15 min downhill walk to the pretty harbour area, and only a 10TL taxi ride back up.

There is a A101 shop within 200M which is good for basics, and the Migros is only a further 5 mins towards the village centre.

There are a myriad of restaurants in town catering for all costs and tastes.

The dolmus station is only 5 mins away allowing easy access to Xanthos, Patara, and Kas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and fully recommend the villa. You are far enough out to be relatively quiet but only a downhill walk to all the town.

Kalkan is not for loud night life lovers.

lovely villa

  • 5 of 5

A lovely villa with great facilities, well maintained and in a peaceful location. Great private pool and sun terraces on different levels making for a relaxing holiday. Everything you could possibly need is supplied free wifi, books, games, sun loungers etc. The bustling resort of Kalkan with its many restaurants and shops is just a short walk away. we loved walking down the hill in the evenings, eating out a few drinks and taxi back. Some evenings we would eat in and relax on the roof terrace overlooking the town. Celine the owner and her agent/rep Ramazan who looked after us whilst we there are very helpful.

A stay here is highly recommended !

Owner's Response: We are delighted with the above review. Our change in villa managers has made a very positive more personal experience for our visitors, we have received many comments about Ramazan and his wife, they are friends as well as manager and give a tailor made excellent service ensuring everyone has a great holiday. (they have great English as well which I think helps a lot). July and August are already fully booked - so if anyone wants to book early May or June or late August September - please contact us (Early and / or repeat booking get a discount!) Thank you again for this review Celine

Perfect for a family stay

  • 5 of 5

Villa is great, really perfect if you have children as the pool (unlike most) has a shallow end and deeper end, it is also an easy downhill walk into town 15 minutes (max) and a really cheap taxi ride back (if you don't feel energetic enough after one of the great meals you can eat in Kalkan, or you have little children as we do). Villa itself is really well equipped for a stay, spacious and clean, with all the facilities you need (esp. washing machine & wifi). Really loved sitting out on the terrace in the warm evenings and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again if coming back to Kalkan, loved it!

A lovely villa , good position, great pool

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely 9 day stay in this villa- it's clean, well furnished and has air con throughout. There are lots of lovely places to sit or lounge, and the pool is great. We didn't use the third bedroom but the 2 first floor bedrooms are very nice.

We did so many great things... Boat trip, paragliding, river rafting, gorge walk, hamam, rings ride, Lycian ruins and beaches- all very great fun.

This is a very nice villa in a good location - Ramazan, who visits daily to clean the pool and patios is a lovely guy and has lots of helpful hints and suggestions.

Celine was always easily available to answer questions by email.

Lovely Villa in Kalkan

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for just over a week in this lovely villa - it is very spacious and very well equipped. The pool area is great has plenty of sunbeds but there is a large seated shaded area if you want to escape the sun. The roof terrace at gives you amazing views over Kalkan. The villa is sitiuated just above the main road on a steephill, it took about 15 mins to walk to the marina and then we'd get a taxi back (to steep to walk), costs about £3.50.

Kalkan has lots of lovely restaurants and you could eat out every night and not have a bad meal.

We would reccommend a boat trip and if there is more than one family it is just as cheap to have your own boat which is really nice and the food they provide during the day is amazing.

We would also reccommend a trip to the gorge where you can walk so far up the gorge(beware the water is ice cold in the first part), You can also do river rafting which is fun,

Villa Zeytenli is perfectly placed to enjoy Kalkan and we would definatley stay again.

Our thrid visit to Kalkan!

  • 5 of 5

When I set out to book a summer holiday for my family I knew what I had in mind. I was set on going somewhere warm as a change from the dreary British weather we normally experience during the summer. Somewhere that had beautiful scenery and would be exciting for me, my husband and my restless teenagers. I came across Zeytenli and after some thorough research I knew it would be perfect.

The owners were very helpful and even arranged transport from the airport to the villa for us. After a two hour drive through the stunning landscape we arrived at the villa, which was exactly how I had pictured it.

Standing on the terrace you were able to look out over the small but picturesque bay. Whether it was sunbathing on the terrace, reading a book on the veranda or taking a dip in the pool, there was always something to do at the villa.

We ventured the short distance into the heart of Kalkan and we found ourselves surrounded by restaurants and bars. There was everything you could imagine ranging from cheap places for a quiet drink or fine dining on the sea front. Shops selling beautiful pieces of art and ornaments were scattered around, you could spend the whole day wandering round town in the sun as there was always something new around the corner.

On Thursday mornings we took a stroll down to the market, where you could find everything you could possibly imagine from luscious ripe fruit to handmade jewellery.

You were able to book day trips and other activities at one of the many travel agencies in the town. I would especially recommend an all day boat trip, travelling round the beautiful coast, swimming in the clear blue waters and being cooked a gorgeous meal with freshly caught fish. It is definitely a day well spent!

Wherever you went there were always friendly taxi drivers willing to take you anywhere for a reasonable price, they were able to recommend places for us to eat, one of them even cooking us a traditional Turkish meal for our family.

Kalkan is an amazing get away, with stunning scenery and exciting attractions. Zeytenli Villa provided excellent service for us, being just the right distance from the town and also having wonderful facilities if we fancied having a day relaxing by our own private pool. It is beautifully decorated with a traditional Turkish decor combined with a more modern twist.

Nearest Airport
90 Kilometres

Kalkan is an absolute dream for those of us who love sun shine, good food and wine, water sports and guaranteed relaxation. The selection and quality of restaurants is second to none. Patara beach ( 18 kms long) is about 15 mins drive away. Horse riding and water sports are all available locally. Our most magical experience is a full day out on a boat, private or group hire, where you can swim, snorkel, fish and explore the island and enjoy freshly cooked food prepared by the captain and crew.
