A recent guest had this to say about the property:

"A great little cottage, very nicely appointed. The setting is the kind of gorgeous you only get in the live oaks, gardens, fountains, ferns and bright sunshine. The patio outside the cottage is quite beautiful, something you can't really get from the photos. Julie and her husband were excellent hosts, attending to every need, offering guidance on local food and even helping with beach access. We were privileged to be the first guests in this cottage, and it's highly recommended for all who may follow. Thanks Julie!"

We love living on the coast of South Carolina. We fell in love with Georgetown 8 years ago and decided to make it our permanent home. We enjoy taking long walks and walking to the many restaurants and shops in the historic downtown. Georgetown is a friendly, welcoming place to be, and we are happy to share our newly renovated home and guest house with others.

We were immediately impressed

  • 5 of 5

The hosts were very engaging and friendly, the cottage was nicely re done into a welcoming example of sheer Southern Home hospitality. We enjoyed the laid back experience and feel you will too. The suggested restaurants were good to say the least.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Julie and Graham were perfect hosts for our stay in this modern cozy well appointed cottage located in the rear yard with direct access from street through an iron gate. The rear yard garden is beautifully landscaped and the outdoor patio has a table and umbrella. Their showplace 18th century home that they renovated is fantastic. The location in the historic district of Georgetown just two blocks from Front Street is perfect. Quiet, peaceful yet close to sights and restaurants. Excellent recommendations by Julie on things to do and places to dine. Thanks, Julie.

A perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We just loved our stay in the Guest Cottage. It's the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The decor is gorgeous with special elegant touches like fresh flowers in every room, chocolates on the night stand, high-end spa toiletries in the bathroom and a mini kitchen stocked with fruit, yogurt, muffins, coffee and juice for a healthy breakfast. The bed was quite comfortable as was the couch and chairs in the large living room. The location of the cottage is super convenient to shops and restaurants on Front Street. We enjoyed walking around the lovely historic neighborhood and looking at date markers on the front of the homes (dating from 1750 to early 1900's) We parked our car when we arrived and never used it again until we were driving away. A visit to Georgetown is such a relaxing respite; a step back to a simpler time. We look forward to returning soon!

Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This one-bedroom cottage is so tastefully decorated and delightful, you wonder why anyone would ever stay elsewhere. Set in the lovely garden of the owners' house and in walking distance from Historic Downtown Georgetown's shops and restaurants, the guest cottage is the perfect place to relax with easy parking on the shady street when it's time for a little downtime between adventures to plantation houses and places to visit in the vicinity. The owners are very helpful with recommendations of where to visit.

Delicious breakfast muffins are supplied for your first morning (no cooking in the cottage) as well as coffee and juice. A small refrigerator is available to keep drinks cold. This cottage was spotless. Highly recommended.
