Comfortable, clean with everything you need for a wonderful family holiday

Almerimar is a popular holiday destination for particularly Spanish and French families who return each year. An ideal resort for couples, familes with young children and golfers. Almerimar has a 27 holes golf course a fantastic championship course which was desgned by Gary Player. This course is just one of many in and around this part of Spain. This lovely penthouse has wonderful views of the mountains, lake and the Mediterranean from its huge sun terrace. The sun terrace is great for getting a tan but also has BBQ facilities for eating al-fresco while watching the sun setting over the mountains. The balcony overlooks 2 swimming pools, gymnasium, tennis courts and the private beach area, ideal for a family holiday. It is only a few minutes walk away from the beach and the long promenade with extends into Almerimar. The complex has access to the lakeside from the main pool area and is only 200m from the long wide natural Blue Flag beach, alongside which runs a fully lit, landscaped promenade with cycle path. There are showers approx every 20m at the back of the beach with toilet facilities and lifeguard posts at regular intervals. There are beach bars and a number of small restaurants along the seafront.

Almerimar and its huge marina has many different types of restaurants to choose from. The large holiday resort of Roquetas del mar is only about 20 mins away by car for more shops and more variety of nightlife. There is a large underground garage and the apartment has its own parking space.

This is a clean and comfortable 2 bedroomed apartment. The master bedroom has an en-suite with toilet, wash basin and shower and the other bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath, toilet, bidet and vanity unit with washbasin. The American style kitchen is well equipped with all things necessary for 4 people. There is a large fridge, washing machine, toaster and kettle.

The lounge has 2 comfortable leather sofas a table with four chairs and it has a patio/terrace which overlooks the swimming pools and garden area. There is a Television and DVD player. Please Note That A 200 Euro Damage Deposit Will Be Taken On Your Arrival By Our Property Manager This Will Then Be Refunded When You Leave.

About Mr Robert Bootle

I am now 64 years old and i live with my partner Robert. We have 2 cats Rosie who is a cross between a British Shorthair and a Bengal and Louie a British Blue Shorthair. I was made a widow at the age of 43 when i lost my husband to cancer, Robert also lost his wife to cancer, and we met through the bereavement group at our local Hospice where they had both died. After approximately 5 years Robert was spending more and more time with me so, we decided to buy a house and move in together.

Why Mr Robert Bootle chose El Ejido

In 2006 we decided, to invest our money in buying an apartment in southern Spain, somewhere nice, close to the sea and somewhere warm where we can go and relax. We chose a penthouse because of the lovely views and so we could enjoy the sun. Also, we wanted somewhere that was not too comercialised, such a lot of other Spanish resort are but Almerimar is still typically Spanish. We both liked walking and in the evenings we enjoy walking along the promenade beside the sea to our favourite shops and restaurants.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment has the benefits of being on a holiday complex so everything you like or need to do is either on the complex or not far away, such as Golf, the swimming pools, the beach, the lake, the gymnasium and the Jacuzzi. Also, there are one or two children's play areas with swings children have their own swimming pools, together with lifeguards. The apartment also has the benefit of a brick built BBQ on the upstairs sun terrace, Hopefully no one should need it, but about 10 minutes drive from the apartment is a newly built General Hospital that has an Accident and Emergency department, i am assured by people that live there, the nurses and Doctors speak English.and if they don't, then you would be provided with an interpreter. To finish both myself and my partner both fell in love with Almerimar as soon as we saw the beautiful views of the golf course, the sea and the little town of Almerimar, we know that you will too. We really hope you will spend many happy holidays in Almerimar as we have done!

There are 2 swimming pools, a gymnasium, 2 tennis courts and access to a private beach and also only a few minutes walk to the sea. If you smoke please smoke outside the apartment on the terraces.

Nice apartment but needs a bit of TLC

The apartment is in a great complex and has a lovely roof terrace. Unfortunately it needs a bit of attention, the main bed really wasn't useable for us as it squeaked loudly every time you moved so if you fidget at night like I do its extremely annoying. Luckily there were only 2 of us so we used the twin room to sleep in. The air con also packed up 4 days in and couldn't be fixed so we were without air con for 4 days then were given a portable unit which worked ok in the bedroom but very noisy when you slept (ear plugs reqd). Penny who manages the apartment was very helpful and brought us a large fan as well which helped move the cool air around and is getting the air con replaced unfortunately not before we left. The oven works but doesn't show any temperature on the dial so was a bit hit or miss when cooking. If the little things are fixed this will be a great apartment and we would definitely rent again.

Penny, a friend of the owners welcomed us. We could always contact her if we had any problem, which did not happen.

We stayed the entire month of August. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment satisfied all our expectations. The 2 bedrooms are large, with closet and each with separated bathroom. It is very confy for 4 people. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are perfectly furnished; the only thing missing is a coffee pot (kettle hot water is in). The terrace is very spacious but I think it is missing a blind, during summer months, the sun shines the entire day. The large solarium, includes a bbq., loungers, table and chairs and is very nice.

There is also a parking space very easy to arrive from the apartment.

The resort offers a lot of diversion. It is very well maintained and offers a wide range of possibilities. Well-kept gardens, swimming pools, tennis/padel and football field, spa and sauna and even a Chiringuito! Our son made some friends the same day he arrived and had a great time. The sea is very nearby and shopping facilities are in town.

good apartment and good holidays

Thank you Mr and Mrs Bootle for the good holidays i spent in your apartment and the wonderful meeting of Miss Panny the very late night of my arrival.

The apartment was good in general and situated in the" magnifique " complex of Laguna in which we spend unforgettable holidays. As a an advise i propose to supply the apartment with additional kitchen and pool articles to make the guest holidays more considerable.

Me encantaron las instalaciones y el apartamento monisimo y con todonlo necesario para q una familia disponga de todas las comodidades....solo pondria una pega...wl colchon de la cama de matrimonio...uff habria que cambiarlo!! Por lo demas,de lujo!!

Almerimar and its absolutely massive harbour /marina is a short drive away there are shops and a variety of restaurants to choose from. Whilst sitting and having a coffee or an alcoholic drink in one of the many cafe's and bars in Almerimar you can people watch and see the large motor cruisers and sailing yachts in the harbour. If you like walking or cycling then there is a promenade which is only a short walk from the apartment and it will take you directly into Almerimar and the harbour and if you are feeling very energetic the promenade continues all the way along the seafront until it reaches the nature reserve. Almerimar has a 27 hole golf course originally designed by Gary Player. There is horse-riding at the Hipica and water-sports during the summer months. Sea fishing is also very popular in this area as well as bird watching on the nearby nature reserve. Even if you do not fish yourself you can see the fishermen and their catch whilst standing on the harbour wall. The Siera Nevada mountain range which can be seen from the terrace is suitable for skiing during the winter months and is only a couple of hours drive. ElEjido is only 10 mins away in the car and has lots of shops and also a large open air market on the first 3 Wednesdays in every month.

The large holiday resort of Roquetas del mar is only 20 mins away by car and has many more restaurants and shops to explore. Roquetas has a large shopping mall for those of you seeking some retail therapy. Also, Roquetas has one of the most splendid sandy beaches jn Spain and you can find the large water park at Roquetas making a great day out for the kids. Granada and the wonderful Alhambra Palace is only a 2 hour drive away. You can also spend a day out at Oasis which has a fantastic zoo combined which a Spaghetti western show as the area of Almeria is well known for the Spaghetti western films.
