About Kevin & Paula Protheroe
Kevin & I met in Yeovil in 2000 & moved to Sedgemore from South Sommerset because we had the opportunity to bring our horses onto our own land. Kevin is an ex Marine who has travelled the world and spent several years in Austrailer of which he has citizenship for and his two boys were born there. I am from North London and since moving to Somerset for work in 2000 have never looked back, life could not be more lovely.
Kevin & Paula Protheroe purchased this Farmhouse in 2006
Why Kevin & Paula Protheroe chose East Huntspill
Churchland Farm is just idylic and our joint dream of owning somewhere big enough to accommodate our dogs, cats and horses on our own land. It is often hard to remember there is a big wide world beyond our gates as we sit by the river taking in the beautiful country views and come rain or shine we know just how lucky we are to own our home in the beautiful County of Somerset
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Peace and tranquility, if you don't leave the grounds you can forget there is a world out there running at 100 miles an hour and if you do leave then the attractions of the seaside, Bristol city and numerous country villages are so near to hand.

Very good location for Weston Super mare, Sands Bay and Minehead. Cottage well equip. Photo of cottage misleading as this is the back of the building when arriving to access the cottage. Owner very helpful with local knowledge.
Take note of owners advice about steps to bedrooms. These are steep for anyone with a disability.
Lovely surroundings. Owner lives in main cottage ajoined, he was very welcoming. Showed us around the grounds, horses, friendly dogs & cat.
Very laid back. Cottage equipped well, towels, bedding, even tea bags & milk in the fridge on arrival.
Wot a gem off a place just got back from 3 night stay loved it hot tub was lovley and the bbq as we
Lovely cottage with a great family feel. Would be good to get a few more things outside for the kids
Great 4 days thanks to the best host
Kevin made us feel very welcome. He proudly showed us around. My daughter, wife and me were quickly taught the basics of horse driving. He had lots of good suggestions what to do and where to eat. My kids absolutely loved the dogs (and cats). Old milk house was also a very good place to stay plus the benefits of a hottub. Thanks Kevin, by far the best stay on our Tour of England.
Not as described but very nice host
Hot tub and garden is only accessible through the main house, so no private outside area. Not particularly clean but quite cosy. Lovely host, very welcoming and keen to show you around the area and his horses are lovely.
The resort attractions of Burnham-on-Sea, Brean Sands and Weston Supermare are within short drives as are Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge, with Ritchie's Cider Farm a short walk away.
Exmoor Country Park, Bath Spa, Wells, Glastonbury, Clarkes Village Street and the attractions of Bristol are all within easy reach as is Crealy Adventure Park for the children.
Other Activities: Sitting on the Somerset levels makes this a great base for walking and cycling. The South Somerset Steam Train is nearby as are several Cider Farms.
Golf: There are several Golf Clubs that welcome visitors including Brean Sands & Taunton
