Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in Quartiere XIV Trionfale - Casa Bonino

2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 4 Sleeps

Located in a quiet street right off the busy Balduina square and only 15 minutes away from the Vatican and St Peter's, Casa Bonino offers a comfortable and elegant environment for your stay in Rome.

110 square meters with large living and dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable bathroom with tub/shower, two bedrooms and a small terrace for dining al fresco.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the twin room has two single beds that can be combined to form a double bed if necessary. Another extra bed can be added on request. Unlike most vacation rental accomodations, Casa Bonino is a real home with character, fruit of a combination of vintage and antique furniture and a special attention to every detail.

The city historical centre (Ara Pacis, Via del Corso, Spanish Steps) and the Metro A subway station can be easily reached with bus 913 and 990, while the train Roma-Viterbo takes you to St Peter's and Trastevere.

Elegant and airy, Casa Bonino offers its guests a knowledgeable host to welcome you and give you valuable insider tips, the possibility of having catered meals at the apartment and/or cooking lessons with visit to the famous Trionfale market and an authentic Italian charm that comes from it being a real home temporarily converted into a vacation rental.

A real home in the heart of Monte Mario

  • 5 of 5

We spent nearly a month in Flaminia's wonderful apartment. It really felt as if she had just moved out to let us holiday there. A real home instead of a "holiday let"! Furnishings, linen, crockery etc all excellent and abundant. Lots of very welcoming touches which made the house very comfortable. The surroundings are quiet and green and not "touristy". Very cool and shady which is great when one is living in Rome in the summer heat and which also meant that we relaxed and slept well. Very accessible for transport - 913 is an excellent service into the wonderful Trionfale Market and elsewhere. Would most definitely recommend Casa Bonino and its lovely owner, Flaminia.

Best place to stay in Rome!!!

  • 5 of 5

OMG! this is the coolest place...decorated with such flair & so many special touches. Flaminia provided so much information on the neighborhood restaurants (the best food & a bargain!) and how to navigate Rome (transport passes, too!). The kitchen was stocked with drinks & breakfast items. Flaminia even made restaurant reservations for us!!! The Baldunia neighborhood is the perfect place to see the "real" non-tourist Rome & an easy 15 minute bus ride to the Vatican area. You must any here!

Wonderful apartment and the best host!!!

  • 5 of 5

I am very glad that together with my family I stayed in Flaminia's apartment. Everything was more than perfect. Very cute, clean, comfortable apartment with pleasant green yard and with everything one can need. Very careful and attentive host Flaminia Bonino.

I am very glad that my decision to stay in this apartment was right not only because of apartment but also because of wonderful host.

Next time travelling to Rome I surely know were I will stay and I wish to be lucky and to be able to meet such careful hosts wit their nice apartments during my next travels to other cities as well.

Quiet and Restful Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

After a rather exhausting trip to Rome, Casa Bonino was a welcome 'home away from home.' The apartment is located in a quiet, green neighborhood, so I was able to close the blinds and have a good night's rest. I found a kitchen fully equipped, including a washing machine, which I put to use promptly with my week's worth of laundry. The apartment is decorated with old and new items that make what could be a 'cold' space into a warm, comfortable and 'homy' one. The owner has a few guidebooks and maps, with instructions on how to take the bus and metro into the center; I used the instructions and was very easily into the center.

On the street where the bus ran, just down the hill from the apartment was very good family restaurant where I had dinner one night. The food was excellent and service very good. Next to the bus stop is a general store.

The best part of my stay was taking advantage of the offer of a cooking lesson by the owner's friend Giuseppe to go to the local market, purchase food for a dinner, which they both cooked while teaching me the basics of Italian cooking and some Roman specialities. It was positively the best meal I had on my whole trip, including the countryside of France and London.

I strongly recommend Casa Bonino.

Great stay în Rome

  • 5 of 5

Casa Bonino și a wonderful place to live în Rome for long stay as well as for a few days. Close to the Vatican, 15 min by bus, is located în a quiet and beautiful area în Rome! Very well decorated, with a lot o charm, this apartment has te amprent of a very well educated lady of the house! And the owners are very warm and nice people!

Ask for Don Peppe to share some roman cuisine secrets, he is an excellent master in the kitchen!

Definetely I'll stay again here visiting Rome!

sentirsi a casa

  • 5 of 5

Insomma, Casa Bonino forever e consigliatissima ;)
