Amazing Gulf Front Apartment - step outside and you are on the beach!

Enjoy the uninterrupted views of the Gulf and Beach from the comfort of your vacation rental. Apartment beautifully situated amongst the private grounds, shaded with palms, dotted with hammocks and chaises.

Grab your morning cup of coffee and go for a stroll, watching the dolphins play.

Occupying the whole lower level of the house there are direct views of the ocean and beach from nearly all windows of the apartment.

There are two bedrooms (one king size, one double bed) and two bathrooms, open plan kitchen, dining and living. Washer and Dryer and plenty of closet space.

The apartment is situated in the beautiful quiet and residential part - mid island.

All you need is just 2 min walk - the island's Publix across the Road and the Marina with Bar and Restaurant. For plenty more bars, restaurants and shops take a trolley ride, beach stroll or bike ride to the north of the island.

We will be happy to assist you in recommending local restaurants and activities!

Please note: The Apartment occupies the ground floor of the Beach House.

Beautiful Beachfront Property

This beachfront property has a gorgeous view of the gulf along with a private beachfront yard. The outdoor amenities that Nick and Claudia provide are wonderful! The minute you step out the door, your toes are in the sand! We had an outdoor table and chairs that we used for family dinners and lunches. I enjoyed sitting there in the morning with my coffee and watching my grandson play in the sand with the beach toys that were provided in the shed. My family loved having the 4 different chaise lounge chairs to lay in the sun or the hammock to lounge in the shade. My teenage son and adult son-n-law loved having the kayak and paddleboard to use whenever they wanted and our family took turns using the 2 beach bikes to ride up and down the beach! When the beach seemed crowded, we just walked up the steps into the yard to our own private beach...it was peaceful and wonderful! The basement apartment was very roomy. There were 6 of us total and we did not feel on top of each other at all! We all had our own private space and enjoyed the communal areas to play games and have family time. Nick and Claudia have the kitchen stocked with dishes, pots and pans and having the dishwasher, washer and dryer was very convenient. Both Nick and Claudia were quick to answer any questions and give good suggestions for things to do and restaurants. The Publix grocery store was very conveniently located across the street. The property is located mid island so it is quieter and we truly enjoyed that! We were able to walk to the marina restaurant located behind Publix and we walked to the pizza place, Junkanoo, which was about a mile down the beach. The apartment itself is very clean and the beds were comfortable. The doors and windows do not have screens so you can't keep them open the entire time so you have to rely on the air conditioning system at night to keep air circulating. The air conditioning does not get very cool inside the apartment so we had a couple of uncomfortable nights and afternoons, but at least it moved air around. Luckily we were there in the winter months so it wasn't too bad. I would not let that stop me from returning again though because what lies just outside your doors is amazing and gorgeous and with the items provided for entertainment, it saves you so much money in rental!

Days in paradise

My wife and I had 4 beautiful days here. The apt consists of ground floor of a 2-story wooden house and has room for 6 but one bedroom is just an alcove. There are 2 baths, kitchen, a dining area and a living room. Claudia has done an excellent job decorating, specially the bedrooms were a delight. Since weather was excellent we had all our meals outside in the shadow of the veranda above and the beautiful Seagrape (?) tree in front of it. Unfortunately some of the structural parts of the veranda seems to need some repair. As this was our first trip to the Gulf Coast we were also a little disappointed with the clarity of the seawater which seemed murkier compared to the Atlantic side. As we do love shellfish we found an excellent supplier of Stone Crab claws at Trico Seafood Market which is 10-15 min drive north-west up on San Carlos Island. Definitely not cheap though.

All in all an excellent location although the price in our opinion is somewhat high.

Fantastic location and beach. House was well appointed and comfortable. Owners were very nice

Clothes dryer door handle came off during the first pull. It seemed that there was a clothes hanger hook being used to pull open the door as it was conveniently placed. Otherwise, everything worked well. Nick taught us how to paddle board and had some good restaurant suggestions. Nick, Claudia and family were very friendly and accommodating but were not imposing at all. We hardly knew they were there most times. Excellent!

location great - place "ok"

Super nice people own a place on a great beach. I was expecting more from the inside, but it is a beach house feel. Sleeps many if you need it! But, being on the beach it came with some critters. We did stay right after hurricane, so I"m sure that had something to do with it.

We are sorry to hear you encountered 'critters' and do apologize. Being in the Florida tropics we keep a very close eye on the pest control maintenance of our rental properties. They are treated (pet and child friendly) on a regular basis in order to prevent this from happening. However, as you rightly say, with all the flooding the island has experienced, this might have been why. I am pleased to let you know this must have been a one off, as we have had no further complains or sightings. We hope to welcome you back in the near future, warm wishes, Claudia
