Guestbook comments from the owner

We have just returned from a perfect week 4 Rue Rossetti and would fully recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic hideaway in Nice.

We came away feeling as though we had stayed in a 'real' home in an idyllic area rather than just a holiday flat. The apartment is perfectly located just fifty or so yards up from Place Rossetti – one of the most picturesque squares in Nice and the view from the apartment is perfect for watching the world go by with a cold beer.

For evenings in, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and there is a flatscreen DVD and beautiful corner sofa in the lounge.

The roof may be low in the bedroom but with the exposed beams and dark furniture, this just adds to the romantic feel of the apartment.

Thank you for a Fabulous week in your flat. Your photos on the net advert really don't do the place justice. We made it our home for the week and didn't want to leave.

Trip to Nice, France

  • 5 of 5

My family traveled to Nice the last week of May '09 and stayed at this lovely apartment. It was so charming it was the highlight of our entire trip to France. The location was amazing, just a couple of steps out the door to many cafes, restaurants, the beach, shopping, the bus station, everything. The apartment was well appointed. My family of 4 was very comfortable there. The owners have thought of everything, they have places to visit, bus schedules, everything! The bed was comfortable, we took hot showers, and the kitchen was well stocked. You can hang out the window and watch as people stroll through the old town. This apartment made our vacation a wonderful getaway for our family, I would recommend it to anyone.

A lovely apartment in the heart of the old town. A great find!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time. The apartment was perfect - very clean, comfortable, well equipped and bigger than we'd expected from the photos. Situated in the heart of the old town, the location couldn't be better. There's also a lovely travel cot for anyone traveling with small children. We had a great first holiday with our baby girl!

Great location, Super clean and beautiful apartment, Great owner and housekeeper

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our stay at this Vieux Nice apartment and left with wonderful memories. Apartment is centrally located a few steps to Place Rossetti, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. British owner Angela was very good at communicating, and her local housekeeper Anne Marie took good care of us. A bottle of champagne was left for us to celebrate new year in Nice.

As soon as we entered the beautiful apartment, we were very much impressed. It was a lot bigger than we anticipated and it even smelled good. Housekeeper Anne Marie did a wonderful job keeping the place spotlessly clean and very tidy. The place was beautifully decorated. We entered into the dining area, with a good size dinner table which sat 4 comfortably and had a pull out sofa bed (futon) which was comfortable for our daughter to sleep in. The kitchen was right next to the dining room with clean pots and pans, nice dishes and new scrub pads, water boiler, coffee machine, multi-functional microwave/oven, and clean dish towels. A good dish washer and fairly new laundry washer were cleverly installed and hidden under the kitchen counters. Kitchen had dish detergent, dish washer detergent, laundry washer detergent, garbage bags. Then we entered the living room with a comfortable L shaped sofa. We did not watch TV but it was available. Last, we entered the bedroom with a nice bed with clean high quality linens. The ceiling was a little lower but we got used to it soon.

The bathroom was located near the entrance on the left, small but efficiently laid out. The sink was beautiful. The half tub was clean with great water pressure, and it had a shower curtain to keep the bathroom dry. This was important to us because many European showers splashed water everywhere in the bathroom which made it dirty and dangerous. Owner supplied great quality towels, toilet paper, hand detergent and shampoo.

We took days trips to nearby towns, Antibes, Cannes, Villefranche Sur Mer, Cap Ferrat, Monaco, Saint Paul de Vence, and Eze Village. All of the day trips were wonderful and this apartment was such a great home base for us to visit so many beautiful places. We walked out the apartment, turned left and walked up to a park the last day. We wish that we had gone there earlier so we could go there every day. The view over old town Nice and the ocean took our breath way. We recommended this apartment to all of our friends. Next time we are in Nice, we will stay here again

Lovely character

  • 4 of 5

Once settled the apartment got warm, and was comfortable. We knew about the low headroom, and accepted the occasional bang. It was lovely to be in the heart of the old town, and must be great in the summer. We also knew about the steps up, but did struggle, especially my husband who found it hard to get through the door!

cute apartment in great location!

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay in this charming old apartment in the heart of Vieux Nice. Such a great location - easy walking to popular spots and the tram/bus. Anne Marie was so friendly & helpful. The only small drawback was the loud noise late at night from the bar across the street.

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I travelled to Nice for the first time last week to celebrate his 50th birthday. We stayed at this beautiful and charming apartment for four nights. The location was amazing, right in the centre of the old town with wonderful restaurants, the market, beach and shops only minutes’ walk away. The apartment was so comfortable and quirky and the photographs do not do it justice as it is much larger than it looks, so clean and beautifully furnished. We were met by Anne Marie, who was extremely helpful, and who also presented us with a bottle of fizz as a birthday present. The apartment made the celebration extra special and would recommend it to anyone! We hope to go back and stay again in the future.

Our charming apartment is situated on the famous Rue Rossetti, about 25m from the historic Place Rossetti in the heart of the Old Town of Nice. Getting to the apartment is easy and, on booking, we will send you clear instructions including a local map. The old town is pedestrianized but the apartment is only 3-4 minutes walk from several drop-off points. The surrounding squares and narrow streets are filled with delightful boutique shops selling everything from local crafts to fine cheeses and wines. There are numerous great restaurants serving international cuisine as well as 'Specialties Nicoise'. As well as the many museums and art galleries within Nice itself, the old town is close to bus and train stations for day visits to Antibes, Cannes, Monaco and Grasse, the 'perfume capital of the world'. Ferries from Nice Port are a delightful way to visit the Mediterranean coast, St. Tropez, Monaco, San Remo and Corsica.
