About Cory Cole

Plain and simply, I am a Yooper. I live locally year round and am a wealth of knowledge when it comes to exploring our area. I graduated high school and college here and I am an avid outdoors-man, I camp, hike, bike, kayak, ski, snowshoe, ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile and Jeep nearly the entire U.P. and if you have heard of it, chances are I've been there, or done that. I also know some places 'slightly off the radar' if you are looking to get away from the tourist areas. Just ask, I'll be happy to give you advice.

Cory Cole purchased this mobile home in 2015

Why Cory Cole chose Au Train

I manage this property for my friends Terry and Raelene. They purchased it in 2015 as a vacation rental. They really like to meet new people and share knowledge with them about the area. You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner, less expensive place than this. They really pride themselves on having a nice inexpensive and accommodating place for people to stay and enjoy our area. As for me, I own/manage 9 other properties here in AuTrain and have done so since 2009. Since that time, I have been providing people a great place to stay, and the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful area. I will gladly answer any questions that you may have.

What makes this mobile home unique

This property is within 2 blocks of Lake Superior and the beach. It has a nice wooded lot that provides some seclusion and relaxation. There is river access across the street to launch a canoe or kayaks and paddle to Lake Superior.

Nice Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a nice stay in AuTrain, Mi in this home away from home. The house was fully stocked with everything that you might need. The house has a 70s vibe and you feel like you've stepped back in time -- but with wifi! The host was courteous & kind. The river is just across the street and they have a canoe (no kayak) for you to use. If we return to the area, we would consider renting again!

Perfect for our family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Definitely retro, but had everything we needed. Wifi worked great all week, had all the dishes and appliances we needed. Cookies on arrival was a great welcome! House was clean, fire pit area was awesome. Great central area for the falls we wanted to visit . Store at corner has a little bit of everything. Have nothing bad to say and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived Terry met us and showed us around and answered all our questions. The property was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the beach and it felt like we were in the woods when we had a fire. Good central location between Pictured Rocks and Marquette. Superior was so calm we rented kayaks from Da Yak Shack and kayaked the bay. I've rented many vacation homes and this was the best for the price. We will be back.

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The size of house is perfect. The location for all that we do (ATV trail riding, bike ride, kayak, fish). The beach is directly across the road along with the Au Train river. Munising and Marquette are just a few "minutes" away. The neighborhood is quiet and the little store up the road has awesome pasties! The house was great, sucked had to go to town to do laundry but oh well, the fire pit and bbq were a plus. I would and totally stay here again! It even fit our 30ft toyhauler in the driveway, plus the truck. Did I mention pet friendly (but don't screw it up and let your pet destroy the place and ruin it for the rest of us in the future)

easy peasy

  • 3 of 5

it was wonderful to stay in a clean and comfortable place while we were in the U.P. exploring. we usually camp, which seems to be a lot of time consuming "work". we really wanted to spend most of our time hiking and paddling instead of camping. it was great to fix our meals in a kitchen, which was well equipped. and the sleeping arrangement was comfortable. we didn't watch the television, but the girls used the wi-fi for their phones. the fire pit didn't get used because we didn't get dry wood, but that was ok. we did use the gas grill, which was great. sorry, but we didn't use the canoe provided. we are used to kayaks, and didn't really have time to get out on your river anyway.

we only have a couple of minor negative things to point out. the bath tub really needs some anti-slip material put in the bottom, and the drain should be fixed so it gets rid of the water faster. one more thing. i didn't find a hard copy of a channel guide for the television.

thanks for providing a clean and comfortable place to hang our hats.
