About Jennifer Coe
This home is on the site of a family land owned by the Rand-Schwartz family with Vashon history of over 85 years.
Jennifer Coe purchased this House in 1970
Why Jennifer Coe chose Vashon
Originally purchased by founding real estate brokers on Vashon Island, this piece of property was saved for family, as it is has one of the best views you will ever find on Vashon Island! Close to the north end ferry dock, it has easy access to and from the island, to explore the many treasures of the Puget Sound area.

The house was clean enough when we arrived except a dirty coffee maker. The house however needs a lot of updates. I am okay with the 50’s look as long as most of the furniture isn’t really from the 50’s and most definitely the couch, 2 living room chairs, and bed frame was. The house had style if it had only been updated. The view was awesome but my grandson was bitten numerous times outside while walking around the thick ground covering which should be pulled out and redone . We were called away
With a sudden death in the family so we did not stay long. It should be noted that there are no standard grocery stores on the island.
Ideal location in Vashon
Comfortable home with all the amenities. Great views. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of great walking options in the area.
Older property but very clean. Comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Amazing view. We were so happy just sitting on the deck watching the boats and the birds and the sky. Had dinner at a new restaurant in town, Ruby Brink, it was delicious.
Loved the retro style. Comfy beds, great kitchen. Didn’t care for the flight path overhead when sitting on the deck at in the evening but otherwise a perfect stay.
Quiet neighborhood and nice to pack up clean clothes for our return trip. Loved Vashon!!
Fine Arts week on the Island
Wonderful week escape. Secluded location in a very comfortable home with spectacular views of Greater Seattle in the foreground of the Cascades, the Pudget Sound and the Olympics. Though the furnishings are dated, the home is very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a visit away from home. No question that I'll return with subsequent visits to the Island.
Just what we wanted
This property came as advertised. Mostly what we wanted out of this were beautiful views of the sound while we cooked Thanksgiving dinner, which is exactly what we got. There are windows all around so you get views from pretty much anywhere in the house and lots of natural light.
There is a deliberate kitschy touch to this house. Lots of old school fixtures, countertops, mustard yellow sinks, and countless chachkies. However, it all seemed to come together to celebrate the original design of the house. Also, there's enough updated amenities so it doesn't feel old. The only downside I can think of is the towels are kind of scratchy.
We loved it and are considering it for future rentals.
