With the peninsula extending more than a football field into the waterways, avian wildlife are seen everywhere and beautiful dolphins are, often, heard breathing as they pass close-by the Aquarium Home’s huge water’s edge decks. As you ascend outdoor stairs or stand at the entryway to the home, look down into the water below; you may be amazed at the fish you see in this huge natural aquarium. If you are a fisherman, you have just arrived at a fisherman’s dream house. Once inside, you will see magnificent water views. As you glance through the side-by-side picture windows that surround the large open living area, try imagining yourself standing in the middle of an art gallery surrounded by masterpiece waterfront paintings. Everything in this home has been designed to give its occupants a true interface with nature. Large picture windows, huge sliding glass doors and 37 panels of tabletop tempered glass surround the home to provide a close-up view of nature in action at the water’s edge.
The most popular bedroom in the home is “Point Room” (MBR suite). It includes: king size bed, large smart flat screen TV, DVD, WIFI, closet, dresser, 12 foot trey ceilings, recessed lighting, stereo speakers plus a bathroom and shower area. If you are a bird/fish watcher or like to observe watercraft, this is the best bedroom to reside. The peninsula extends more than a football field in length into the waterways and “Point Room” is located at the very end of this “virtual island” surrounded by salt and fresh water game fish. If you love Dolphins, it may surprise you to see them pass through the swim area below. “Point Room” provides beautiful water views to the West, Northwest, North, Northeast and East via the twenty four linear feet of glass that surround the room. Open the west side sliding glass doors and walk out to a private master suite dining area overlooking a waterway. Open the east side sliding glass doors and walk out to a Medallion tiled Lanai and huge deck for viewing fish, wildlife and entertaining. Below “Point Room” is a natural safe swim area that tapers off gradually on all sides. “Point Room” is perfect for monitoring swimming and watersport activities at the northern end of the peninsula.
The second master suite is “South Room” (MBR suite). It includes: A king size bed, large flat screen TV, DVD, CD PlayerBose Surround Sound System, WIFI, 12 foot trey ceilings, recessed lighting, and stereo ceiling speakers. The bathroom area has a large walk-in closet, shower and Thermal Message Unit (TMU). Views from this room are gorgeous. Lying in bed in the morning, you see water views to the, East, Southeast and Shalimar Bridge and in the evening a skyline around the Shalimar Bridge. In the winter, it is common to see waves of Pelicans and other bird species fly by “South Room’s” windows. The room design is integrated with the outdoors and provides vacationers with a close interface with nature. Open up South Room’s large sliding glass door and you are on the Master Suite Lanai which overlooks a 1550 SF private pool area and expansive waterway. This is a semi-private location for occupants of the suite. On the west side of the suite is a large picture window with views of the cove/yacht protected harborage and dock area; also, a beautiful Bald Cypress Tree provides an elegant entrance to the home.
A third bedroom is called “Pilot’s Den” and is equipped with two twin beds, fighter pilot memorabilia and aircraft paintings; also, it includes a flat screen TV, WIFI, 12 foot trey ceilings, recessed lighting, and stereo ceiling speakers. The fifth office/bedroom is called “Watersport Room” and includes Foyer with closet. This room is equipped with a sofa that folds out into a Queen bed, a smart TV, WIFI, recessed lighting, a mini refrigerator and stereo. Views from this room look out over two waterways. Room provides immediate access to a full range of watersports.
On a personal note, I’m a retired United States Air Force Colonel and Fighter Pilot. If you look at one of the aerial photos of the home, you will find its design illustrates the outline of a giant fighter aircraft. Should you vacation here, I will be glad to point out the cockpit, jet intakes, wings and afterburner design. We even have a room with two twin beds including fighter pilot memorabilia and fighter aircraft paintings.
With a zero setback waiver, I was able to build the home between two waterways from the East to the West side of a perfectly configured peninsula - that extends into the waterways more than a football field in length. I designed the home so that Dolphins, fish and avian wildlife can be seen from every room and from hundreds of linear feet of water’s edge decks. You can actually look down and view fish, wildlife and beautiful Dolphins.
My wife and I have sponsored many family reunions at our home. The reunions were family get-togethers resulting in memories that will last each of us a lifetime. We also had a couple of pilot reunions and weddings on our water’s edge decks. Based on our own experience, we know that vacationers seeking an extraordinary vacation or wedding site have found the right place. Should you choose the Waterfront Escape, we will do what we can to make this your best vacation or event ever!

We had an great time. Everything is as pictured except common areas - they are much larger. Kids had fun with kayak and fishing equipment available. Even on rainy days, there is so much covered patio area, we enjoyed sitting outside where there are tables and chairs everywhere. We definitely would recommend to friends. Very relaxing, comfortable place to spend some time. Lots of open space. Lots of extras in this home.
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The outside area was beautiful. The house is a little dated.
We loved this house!! So beautiful, and they are not kidding at all about the water views. There are water views from every single room! The house is also very well supplied with everything you might need. Every kitchen item was available and the full laundry room was great. There is ample closet space and plenty of towels. We had 10 people and were very comfortable for a week.
The elevated pool is beautiful - complete with floats and plenty of seating for all. There is also a large dining table with plenty of room of all of us.
We use the electric grill, the kayak, the canoe and the paddle-board. Plenty of parking room, 2 piers/dock to park a boat and/or fish from.
Owners provided VERY prompt answers to our questions.
Perfect for our family vacation and we will definitely try to stay here again.
The property was wonderful. Water all around us. The pool was great. The kids loved fishing and they caught several fish. We go to Florida every year and this is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. We will be back.
The house was beautiful and spacious. It was really unexpected to show up early and get to meet John the owner of the property. We loved hearing the story about his vision when constructing the house. I loved the fact that all towels including beach towels were available for our use, as well as anything we needed in the kitchen and laundry room. We spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the water, fishing off of the docks, and of course in the pool. The house looked just as good if not better than all of the pictures! If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is definitely the place, it is very quiet and peaceful even though their are many houses close by. I loved the fact that it was just a 15 minute drive to the beaches and shopping . We would recommend this home for anyone, we had adults, young adults and tweens and there was something for everyone! Thanks for a great vacation-Rhonda and Ed
Absolutely gorgeous house! Everything you could possibly need and more! You are surrounded by water and an amazing view out of every window! We stayed here and had our wedding here and we couldn't have been happier picking this home! We had the ceremony on the grass by the dock and the reception on the huge deck. We can't wait to come back and stay here again!!
