Beautiful house and location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a weekend here with friends (and kids). It was perfect with gorgeous views from most of the rooms, a clean fully stocked kitchen, a large dining table, and large living room area. The house was pristinely clean, warm, and welcoming...the location is also great being right next to the Rhinecliff Inn, train station, and a very short drive into the beautiful town of Rhinebeck.

Beautiful and gracious home base for a week upstate.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our girls getaway at this beautiful home. It is perfect for a group, ample and elegant space for all. We loved the views of the river and the location was very convenient for us. Yes, we could hear the train sometimes by day, but it really didn't bother us at night.

The interior is gorgeous, modern-meets-rustic style throughout, great bathrooms (and soaking bathtubs!), lovely chefs kitchen that we made a lot of use of.

We didn't mind the stairs though as other reviewers have said, might not be great for those with limited mobility. We visited in February and it was quite cold out - the heat worked well and we were warm and toasty though every now and then passed through a little sliver of cool air b/c it's a historic house.

Would love to visit in the warmer months to use the lovely outdoor areas more.

Great place to just chill.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been renting homes up and down the east coast every winter and summer for about 10 years now. This home quickly climbed up the top of the leader board. It was spacious, very creatively divided, and in a beautiful neighborhood. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I think I underpaid for the rental. Great home! Must rent! Highly recommended!!

Perfect snowy getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house overlooking the Hudson, well appointed with a nice Wolf range on a quiet street despite being so close to the train and town, which was great. Brought our Husky up to escape the city for a snowy weekend in the country and this was the perfect place to do it. The writer's cottage is such a nice little extra, my wife and I slept in there the last night of our stay and it was beautiful.

Gorgeous Home Two Blocks from the Train Station!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The central house has an amazing flow, with a separate living room and dining room, both right off of the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with any item needed to cook an amazing meal - with a professional grade range! The writer's house is so cozy, and the train is not too loud when inside. The additional guest cottage is absolutely beautiful as well! Every detail in these three buildings was clearly thought out with care. So much so, that it would be difficult to pick a single favorite space. The views are wonderful and calming, and the town is nice and quiet. I would recommend this home to anyone, and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home! Hope to come back soon!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this home over the holidays and we had a wonderful stay! It's a great place for a large group and the location is phenomenal. The house has beautiful river views and we were within a few minutes walking distance to a few restaurants and the train. Plus, the town center is just a 10-minute drive away. The kitchen was well equipped with all the supplies we needed to make a meal (plates, cups, pots, pans, utensils, etc).

The property manager was very responsive. We had a small issue with the heat and she sent someone over within the hour on Christmas Eve. All of my correspondence was answered immediately and our booking process was stress-free.

The house was also impeccably clean and tastefully decorated! We also loved the guesthouse (perhaps even a bit more than the main house). It's set a bit higher up on the property so the views are wonderful and it's a very cozy and fun.

Just a few side notes: The "writer's cottage" does not have a bathroom - you must cross the street and use the one in the main house. For this reason, no one in our party of 9 was willing to sleep there (at risk of having to use the bathroom in middle of the night) even though it's very pretty. Also, there are very steep steps leading up to the guesthouse so it's not a great lodging option for older people or anyone who has trouble with walking or stairs.

I highly recommend booking this property! We hope to return soon.
