Relaxing getaway with beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic girls' weekend at the house - everyone loved sitting on the lawn and enjoying the view of the Hudson, cooking in the kitchen and sharing meals at the big round table. The house is centrally located, just 10 minutes from easy trails in Ferncliff Forest and 30 minutes from the Walkway Over the Hudson. We didn't mind the noise of the train going by. Our only issues were: there weren't enough trash bags or rolls of toilet paper for our 3-day stay, the downstairs toilet stopped flushing, and the wifi was spotty. But we called the property manager and he sent the Super over right away to fix everything. Overall, it was such a great spot to spend the weekend, and we'd love to come back!

Our family retreat in Rhinecliff

  • 5 of 5

We were very satisfied with our stay at this property. It is everything the pictures describe and better. Though a delicate house we had a large family gathering and took up the guest house as well as the main house. The bedrooms and beds are remarkably cosy. The dining area has the best round table that lets everyone gather together and feast. The kitchen is well stocked with superior dishes and pots and pans. The bathtubs are a delicious retreat. We enjoyed the pool room and being outside in the yard. This place is the best.

Beautiful house and location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a weekend here with friends (and kids). It was perfect with gorgeous views from most of the rooms, a clean fully stocked kitchen, a large dining table, and large living room area. The house was pristinely clean, warm, and welcoming...the location is also great being right next to the Rhinecliff Inn, train station, and a very short drive into the beautiful town of Rhinebeck.

Beautiful and gracious home base for a week upstate.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our girls getaway at this beautiful home. It is perfect for a group, ample and elegant space for all. We loved the views of the river and the location was very convenient for us. Yes, we could hear the train sometimes by day, but it really didn't bother us at night.

The interior is gorgeous, modern-meets-rustic style throughout, great bathrooms (and soaking bathtubs!), lovely chefs kitchen that we made a lot of use of.

We didn't mind the stairs though as other reviewers have said, might not be great for those with limited mobility. We visited in February and it was quite cold out - the heat worked well and we were warm and toasty though every now and then passed through a little sliver of cool air b/c it's a historic house.

Would love to visit in the warmer months to use the lovely outdoor areas more.
