The duplex was such a great place to house all of my relatives together in one place.
I rented both the upstairs unit and downstairs unit for my sister's wedding weekend. It was great to have my parents, aunt and uncle in one apartment, and all of my cousins in the other unit. Everyone was together in the same building and we didn't have to rent a giant mansion or book a block of hotel rooms to house everyone.
The neighborhood is very stunning, yet quiet. It's the epitome of cool, Silverlake living. The street is on a hill overlooking Sunset, but also walkable if you want to walk downhill to the bars. You'd probably need to take an uber back up to the house since it's a bit of a grade walking uphill back to the house.
Each unit is quite hip, but also very cozy for all of the relatives to gather. The house if fully-stocked with extra blankets and towels for all. The hammock in the yard was the most popular spot to hang out.
Michael was super helpful, accommodating and friendly when I was making the reservation, and also during the stay.
I highly recommend renting the Elevado Treetops. The building is beautiful, the neighborhood is great and booking the place was a breeze.
The overall experience of our stay at the Elevado Treetops was wonderful. Location was great, on top of a hill where the views were fantastic. As per cleanliness, I do have very high standards. There was a rolled rug in one of the bedrooms that perhaps the staff forgot to put back to its location. The blades of the fans were so dusty, I did not dare turn it on to prevent dust from spewing out. The switches were tricky, you have to be a sleuth to figure out which one turns on what. The most annoying downside was the internet. It was so spotty at best. We were having audio calls to friends all over the world and sure enough we would lose the connection. The router was downstairs and the only way to access it was to ask the tenants downstairs to toggle it on and off, or Michael had to come over when the tenants are away.
Michael Friedman did call me and offered to pay for my data since I ran out on our first day. He said the issue will be fixed soon. I do hope so because we all loved the gorgeous house with its picture windows all over and it spacious enough to accommodate six guests.
Yes I will recommend this place to my friends.
Elevado Treetops is a beautiful and convenient place to stay. It's close to everything along Sunset and in Silver Lake but quiet and peaceful. The apartment is full of light and air and we enjoyed watching the sunsets and even the rain. The rental process was smooth and easy and everything was handled very well.
Had an incredible time celebrating a 40th Birthday and girlfriends getaway. We rented both upstairs and downstairs and the houses lent themselves to exactly what we were hoping for as we all convened from around the world for our celebrations in LA. Both up and down are just as beautiful as the pictures, midcentury style with fun and funky details, beautiful natural light and good energy. All the amenities we needed to cook big fabulous dinners while enjoying the outdoor patios. The only downside to the house is the shower: the tub is grungy (clean but in need of a re-coat) and we all had temperature control problems with a not so great showerhead. The location was great, heaps of walkable restaurants, cafes and some cute shops nearby. We quickly became "regulars" at 7 Mares. :P
Michael was fantastic with communications from the very get go. He was very responsive to anything we needed throughout our stay. We all fell in love with this house and will definitely be back anytime we're in LA!
We felt right at home in this bright, clean, sunny space! Loved the eclectic decor, and the kitchen was well appointed for a night in cooking. We only wish we could have stayed longer than a weekend and enjoyed a few more days in Silver Lake! Hoping to revisit again sometime soon.
This is the first time my wife and I have stayed upstairs but have stayed three times in the lower apartment. We have enjoyed them each time. It was hot, without AC, but the open windows and fans worked to cool the house at night. The apartment has the features we most require: bedside tables, bedside reading lamps, and access from either side of the bed. You may not care but we do. The apartment was immaculate and very quiet. Michael was, as always, very accommodating. We'll stay here anytime we're in L.A. It is as advertised.
