It was an amazing cabin and the pictures doesn't do it justice. We had the best time and would definitely stay there again! Lastly, I want to thank Charlie and Sheila for this amazing stay.
We were so excited about the cabin! The furnishings are great, beds comfortable, and tucked away in a place for solitude. The owners left lots of fresh towels, bedding, and even chocolate! We loved our stay and will be back again. There is a fire pit outside and a grill if that suites your fancy.
We really enjoyed our two-night stay. The cabin is very comfortable and clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the towels and sheets were nice, and there were lots of great books on the shelves, an unexpected bonus! We used the charcoal grill and the fire pit both nights -- there's a nice porch with a table and chairs, as well as chairs around the fire pit -- perfect for making s'mores and looking at the stars! It was close to Fayetteville (just a few minutes by car) and to Adventures on the Gorge, where we did rafting and zip lining, as well as to some nice hiking trails. Plenty of room for the four of us, and my kids both wanted to sleep in the loft (of course) so they took turns. The owners were very friendly and helpful, responded quickly to our questions, and helped us out with our fire. The cabin is on a street with other houses but pretty secluded. A great experience overall!
When we arrived at the cabin, it looked exactly like the picture. Then we went inside. All I could say was WOW! It was so quaint, and again just like the picture, but better in real life. In addition, I tend to be a bit funny about staying at other places, which is why we chose HomeAway rather than a hotel, but Robin's Hood Cabin, met and beat my expectations for cleanliness. We also, got to meet Charlie the owner, who lives directly behind the cabin, who was very kind and gracious and checked in on us to make sure we did not have any issues.
We cannot wait to go back to the beautiful state of WVA, and when we do, we will definitely stay here again, or at another HomeAway location if in another area.
We(family of 4) loved this stay. The Cabin has everything you need. The beds are comfy, the house is well appointed with nice furnishings that make you feel right at home. The kitchen has everything you need. The air works great with a fan in every room. We enjoyed making s'mores on the fire pit at night. Plenty of trees to hang your Eno too! Thanks Charlie for being the fire starter!
Very private location yet just outside Fayetteville. Close to all the outdoor activities. Great collection of interesting art and history of the area provided in the cabin. This was more than a cabin , just lovely inside!
