About the property

This beautiful cabin is set on the east end of Big Trout Lake which is one of 14 lakes connected by water on the Whitefish chain. The beach is pure sand, and there is great fishing right off of the dock! Relax on the deck facing the water, or down on the dock. There are gardens to enjoy, bikes to ride and clear refreshing water in which to swim. You won't want to go home! Manhattan Beach Lodge, which is steps away, has great dining and a Tiki bar.

Great cabin with amazing deck, beach and sunsets.

  • 5 of 5

We have a group of friends who make an annual trip to my in-law's cabin on Rush but the cabin was unavailable. After some research we booked this cabin. It was fantastic. The cabin is great and comfortably sleept 6 adults. The property was beautiful, the beach sandy and great and the lawn and fire pit were perfect for a bonfire and bean bag game while watching incredible sunsets. Would definitely stay again!

Pleasant guys weekend up north. Beautiful sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

This past weekend myself and 5 of my friends stayed at the cabin. It is in a great location and the property is wonderful! Great flat yard to play yard games and a perfect sandy beach to enjoy. The cabin itself is smaller but is very well layed out and extremely cozy (in a good way). Can't wait to go back!

Memorable Labor Day Weekend

  • 4 of 5

Our family of six, ranging in ages from 11 - 82 rented this cabin for Labor Day weekend. The cabin was exactly as advertised, however; I made the epic mistake of not noticing the lack of air conditioning. It was so hot the first day we arrived, we almost went to a hotel. The kids and young adults could handle the heat by opening the windows and doors, but the older people in our party were very uncomfortable even with several fans running. It eventually cooled down and we enjoyed the lake and the sunsets a lot. The kitchen is very small and with the heat we didn't cook as much as we expected. The kids bedroom is perfect (stocked well, slept well). The regular bedroom, not master, is small. There's just enough room to walk around the bed full-queen bed. It's not somewhere to escape. My husband and I sleep in a king sized bed, so it was a little tight for us. The bathrooms could have been cleaned better (spiders made a home in the corners). The restaurant next door is amazing and was very accommodating for a party of six without reservations. The owner is great and easy to work with.

Great Place to Rent

  • 5 of 5

Sue was great to work with and made booking her family cabin very easy. My group included guests from Texas and we were eager to show off the beautiful lake chain. The cabin was clean and easily accommodated our group of six. The views from the cabin looking west on Big Trout were remarkable - best on the chain considering the 'blue' tint that only this lake can provide. We appreciated our time at the cabin and recommend it to anyone looking to relax Up North. Also, you can walk to Manhattan Beach Club where the food and service were great!

Weekend Away

  • 4 of 5

Sue was great to deal with and the house was perfect for 5 women on a Girls Getaway. Luckily the evenings cooled down enough for us to get some decent airflow through the house since there was no air-conditioning. There were fans available which helped. The backyard was nice with plenty of room for yard games and the campfire. We only had one nice sunny day and spent most of it laying out on the dock. Although the house is right off a main road it was very peaceful outside. We definitely enjoyed our weekend.

Trout Lake/Crosslake

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our stay in nice 3 bedroom cabin with fabulous view of Trout Lake. Had everything we needed. Close public lake access just blocks away. Cozy cabin and very charming. Well maintained inside as well as outside yard, beach, dock area. Close location to town for activities and restaurants.
