About Diane Bartzick

My name is Diane and my family includes my husband Albert and 2 children Rachael and Daniel. Albert and I fell in love with Big Sky some 25 years ago. We purchased this condo so that our children could escape from Westchester County in New York and experience the great outdoors. Both of our children learned to ski at Big Sky Resort as early as 3 years of age. My family wanted to experience life here in Big Sky for a full year. Both children attended Ophir School. Nine Years later we never left. We live full time in Big Sky. Our son Daniel graduated from Lone Peak High School and Rachael is a senior this year.

My family loves to fish, ski, snowmobile and dirt bike.

We are local here in Big Sky and ready to assist you in enjoying Big Sky as much as we do on a daily bases

Diane Bartzick purchased this condo in 1994

Why Diane Bartzick chose Big Sky

The community here is rich in activities and so family friendly. We have a great free concert series here every summer along with a farmers market. To get outdoors and visit with people is a great experience. Another newly added feature is the Professional Bully Ride that comes here. This is the third year they are returning.

Winter is fabulous for all outdoor enthusiasts. One highlight is the school here takes the kids skiing 6 Fridays during the winter as part of their gym class. Skiing and outdoor activities are available for all.

What makes this condo unique

Ski in Ski out

Centrally located direct access to the Mountain Village

Large common sitting area with Fire Place

The Pool/Sauna area is the most sought after amenity

Excellent ski vacation

  • 5 of 5

The Shoshone condo was a great place to stay for a ski vacation. The owner takes good care of the unit, and described everything to make our stay easy. Some of the extras were nearby parking, coin operated laundry, dishwasher and soap provided, and the ski storage area. All the basics were in place - appliances and heating worked well, linens and blankets were provided, and the condo was clean. We had an excellent vacation!

The condo was clean and beautiful. So close to the slopes. The condo building has great amenities and we took full advantage of them. Highly recommended

Great location for powder seekers, thoughtful decor, quite rest, awesome steam room and hot tub.

  • 5 of 5

-First, assuming you are visiting Mountain Village to ski/snowboard, here's the important information. This unit is in Shoshone, which is located a few steps (via a heated sidewalk) form Mountain Mall, which is a few more steps from both the Swift Current and Ramcharger lifts. If you plan to chase powder in the bowl in the morning (via Swift Current -> Powder Seeker lifts) this is an optimal place to stay. It's on the second floor just far enough away from the elevator to provide quiet serene rest. The mattresses in the master bedroom and Murphy bed are great. (We didn't try the sofa sleeper). There is a full fridge, stove, and kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils. We didn't plan to cook much however the combination of the convenience store in Mountain Mall, the welcoming kitchen, and the steam shower / hot tub / indoor-outdoor heated pool that come with the rental (via the fitness center on the first floor) kept us in Shoshone for most of our stay. The decor in the unit is thoughtful and the little things (such as an abundance of wood hangers in the closet) take this unit from good to great. -we'll be back. P.s. Note there's a tunnel from the parking lot to Shoshone.

Peaceful, Easy Feeling

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Shoshone Condominium Hotel. The room is appointed and equipped nicely and clean. The bed is comfortable. We liked the restful atmosphere and enjoyed sitting by the pool. The location is a convenient one hour drive south to the west gate of Yellowstone or a one hour drive north to Bozeman, MT. There are several nice local restaurants, grocery stores and other shopping available. We visited in the off season so there was not much activity (just right for us), though in the park in Big Sky they do a free summer Music in the Mountains concert series. If you are noise sensitive, the room is on the second floor right next to the valet parking stand. On two nights tourist buses pulled up close to drop off their passengers in the evening and came back early the next morning to pick them up again. They sat there running for extended periods in the morning which was a bit annoying. The hotel staff were friendly and offered useful tips of things to do locally.

Really enjoyed the condo. It was outfitted with everything we needed! Love the convenience of Shoshone with trips to the hot tub pool, games from the concierge, and the boot/ski check! It fit our family of 6 perfectly! Thanks!
