Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cottage in North Lakeport - North Lakeport, MI

This fully furnished home features 3 Bedrooms, 1 downstairs and 2 upstairs with a full kitchen, dining room and living room. The coved ceilings and natural wood floors and staircase add to the appealing charm of this home. My home has new central a/c (installed 2016), newer furnace and water heater (installed 2011), and septic (2006). There are beach privileges 750 feet at the end of the road and conveniently located close to beautiful Lakeport State Park, which also has a beautiful sandy beach. Guests are asked to stay in only those beach areas designated to them and respect the privacy of neighbors.

Please note that cable is not provided although there is a flat screen TV (with HDMI interface) and DVD player (RedBox isn't far away).

While this home is in Michigan, prices are quoted in $CDN not $USD, therefore please factor in the exchange rate which is attractive for American guests ($1 CDN = $0.77 USD, Summer 2016).

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only

The property is spacious and clean

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property to attend our daughters wedding reception. This house was perfect for the weekend. We were able to bring our family pets as well as grandson with us. It was nice to be able to run back and forth from wedding activities to walk and feed them. The neighborhood was nice and quiet & and the neighbors we did meet were very friendly. I would recommend this home :)

A cute cottage style home

  • 4 of 5

My sister and I wanted to go on a "girly get away" by the water. This lovely blue cottage style home was lovely, and decorated with rich woodwork, and very spacious. We had plenty of room and many amenities. Lake Huron is a beautiful lake and the drive up to Port Sanilac and Harbor Beach was wonderful. The owner was very thoughtful and helpful - - - for this was my first experience with VRBO. This place fit the bill for my sister and I and we had a wonderful time.

Suprisingly spacious!!

  • 4 of 5

The property is well kept and clean. My family of six adults and two toddlers enjoyed our weekend stay. The pictures are deceptive because the house is more spacious than they show. There was plenty of room for all of us. We never felt crowded or cramped. We were able to all sit at the dinning room table for our meals and with three bedrooms, no one had to sleep on the couch. One small issue, though I'm sure it's no different for any home in that area, there were quite a few small ants in and around the kitchen sink. No leaving anything out on the counter unsealed, that's for sure. If you can tolerate that, then this is a great and affordable cottage with an 'upnorth' feel that's not to far away. Oh, and the owner is great!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. The cottage had been sprayed in the week before, however the ants made their seasonal debut as they do everywhere in the area. This lasted only a short and time was contained by limited spraying. Everything else was as advertised in the listing, and as noted in this review.

Memorable Holiday Weekend July 2016

  • 5 of 5

I found this property by chance and my family (husband, 3 adult children) and I were not disappointed. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable. The beach is a short, scenic walk away. Everyone we met (neighbors and other residents) were warm and welcoming. The owner friendly and responsive with any questions we had. We attended the fireworks in Lexington watching them with local merchants who invited us to sit by their shop. We had a fire at night on the patio, laughed, told stories, ate s'mores and star gazed. We hope to come back again and stay even longer. THANK YOU! cm

Quaint & Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cozy cottage was wonderful for my family and small pet dog. The master bedroom is located on the 1st with two bedrooms upstairs, which gave our teenager privacy. There is an outside patio area with Adirondack chairs. If needed, a gas BBQ & Picnic table is available in garage. The home is located on a quite sheet with less than 5 minutes to small beach, but adequate. It was wonderful to watch fireworks from other local guests right on the beach. Lake Port State Park is right next door and in walking distance to beach & campsites. This is a perfect location meeting your camping friends and family. We brought our bikes and rode to local community park. The owner was a wonderful host and responded quickly to our questions. Extra bonus that lines was provided. The town of Lexington is 15 minutes away with quaint shops & few restaurants. We would stay again!
