This property has just become available for rent. The property owners are longtime Missoula residents who can advise guests on the location and suitability of walking trails, biking trails, hiking areas, floating, kayaking and boating, local restaurants and events, etc. We are glad to help make you stay tranquil, athletic, or anything in between. Missoula is a great town for foodies, recreation, and all kinds of cultural events. It is located in the middle of an amazing area of natural beauty with abundant wildlife and places where you can find solitude, peace and quiet, or whatever brand of excitement you enjoy.
We both went to school in Missoula at the U of M and loved Missoula enough to stay here. This property was out in the sticks when it was first built, but as Missoula has expanded, it has become closer to town, while still retaining much of its rural setting. The airport is 15 minutes (or slightly less if need be) which is far closer than most other places in Missoula can claim. It is a great place to bicycle, hike, or take an inner tube ride down the river, and everything that makes Missoula fun is not far away, although when you are out on the patio with a book and a beverage, the world seems a comfortable distance away.
Deer are frequent visitors, and bald eagles and osprey fly up and down the river daily. Take a twenty minute bike ride on the quiet back trails and come out at the University of Montana, and cross the river to end at the Farmers' Market and downtown Missoula. A river access is a couple of hundred yards down the street, and a golf course and riverfront trail is a couple of minutes' walk. It is still a quiet place, with easy access to everything that makes Missoula fun.

We loved our stay! The home was clean, comfortable and very nice for our family. We enjoyed the proximity to the Clark Fork River and to downtown Missoula as well. The bonus was the pool table downstairs which was fun after touring the sites nearby. The owners were great to work with and we will definitely return to stay in the near future.
This property is awesome with the views from the front yard and great hangout spot on the back patio. Also with the enclosed porch just in case the weather turns nasty your not stuck inside. The inside is great also with the basement area with the pool table and is very cool down there if it's a little too hot outside for you. The owners are very nice and don't live too far if you need anything, we didn't need anything because the house was exactly what we needed and had everything. If I'am ever in need for a house in Missoula for 3 days this would be the one! Highly recommend this property.
We stayed for 2 months and loved it. Very well kept and furnished home, we wanted for nothing. The living room has a beautiful view of the Mountains and we saw bald eagles often. Great gas fireplace and wonderful finished basement with wet bar and pool table. Capped off with a 2 car garage with auto garage door. Manolita and Chris are great hosts and live close by if you need them but leave you alone. Definitely will stay again.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The property was very comfortable, clean and fully stocked with everything you
might need. We enjoyed seeing the deer In the yard every morning. Very good location and convenient to downtown Missoula and the College. We will definitely consider this property for future stays.
We had a wonderful time! The house was very clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with kitchen utensils, pots/pans, etc. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the enclosed patio, listening to the rain and watching the local wildlife. The location of the house worked well for us ... not too close and not too far from town.
