Cute and quiet beach house

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying here. Our timing was a little poor, hurricane Irma came through on our first weekend here, but Kim was very good about keeping us posted when the house was available again and when the power came back on. It was just across the street from a beach that we usually had pretty much to ourselves most days. It was close to groceries and other necessities. The house itself is a somewhat simple but solid, no frills sort of place that we found perfect for the environment. There was a little sand under some of the couches when we moved in, and there were a few bugs in the kitchen, but one has to keep in mind this is an older beach house and not an urban Hilton or something. There were plenty of utensils and appliances in the kitchen, etc. There was some confusion about things like the availability of a washing machine and dryer, so please confirm those things before you book if it is a huge issue for you. Kim was responsive, and was very good about clarifying if we asked. Overall we found the house and location charming, relaxing, and we enjoyed our time there immensely.

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

This is a nice little cozy beach house, the inside is very clean and well kept. It is old, but that is what gives it its charm. The weather was not nice to us during our stay, but hanging out inside made our trip worth it. Beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is clean. It's very close to the beach and everything you need is in walking distance. Plenty of parking as well. The roof of the living room was really neat! Great place all around.

Quaint propery

Nice quaint place. Close enough to the beach. Not a busy part of town which is good. Very comfortable place.

Perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

The beach house was perfect for our stay. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party and everyone fit comfortably. The beach was literally across the street.

Beach house

  • 2 of 5

This is a bare bones property. No frills. The driveway is very small and difficult to pull in and you must turn around to pull back out on the busy street. Bring your towels for beach and if you plan on using your bath towel once bring extras or plan on going to the laundry as the washing machine is locked up and not for guest use.

The cleaning fee is way too high. There is no dishwasher so if you cook be prepared to be washing dishes. When we were there there was no grill even though advertised. We had to buy one. It was great being so close to putt putt golf very fun.

The security deposit is also way too high. It created a lot of stress wodering if we were going to be charged for items that were not there. We did get our full security deposit refunded. However the stress of wondering if we were going to be charged for the missing grill was too much. We were also promised plenty of towels. There were 4 bath towels. Not plushy but old and worn.

We will not be staying at this place again

Owner's Response: The grill and washing machine are in the garage and the key that opens the house also opens the garage. I would have been happy to explain that to you if you had reached out to me. I could also have easily brought you some additional towels and since then I have re-stocked the beach house with new towels. To all future guests, please feel free to call or text me if things aren't what you thought they were or if items are missing. I'll be happy to correct the situation.
